Once I loved a kitty cat, a dainty little thing.
I told her, if she'd have me, that my own true heart I'd bring.
She gave me a delighted, "Mew!" and leaped up to her feet.
"Oh, what a lovely thing to do, I so love organ meat!"

*laughs* As short as it is, make it a submission-- That IS funny, inventive and unexpected! ;)

I've got an idea and am working on it?

On the plus side, a character only mentioned In "Winterfur Trix" (a serial in several courses) Part 1 is supposed to be a cat.  There's love, of a sort, between some of the characters.  "Heart" will need some thinking on, but it shouldn't be as much of a stretch as "travel" was for Part 1.

I wouldn't call it a challenge if it wasn't, now would I? ;)

As for the story (so far), I'll be reading it on my iPod later today, while my mother takes care of some state employee retiree business (and some casinoing), and I'll get to some more replies later tonight, once home and safe from the winter storm system that's presently hitting the Northern California coast... :P

Actually, I think I have an idea for "heart" that won't be quite what what one expects.  Now, to see if I can work in Father Evan or need to fall back on a different cat. :p

*grin* ;)

Be interesting if you ever did use "radio" on the story- While not impossible (the technology for crude, yet tunable transmitters & receivers actually has been around since ancient Roman times, but actually putting the related discoveries together is a much more recent thing- Radio actually is a fairly late invention in the history of electricity-based science and invention!), it's improbable in your world's present timeframe, but then again, this is a different world, so who knows? ;)

I don't think I can use radio in the Winterfur world, not without breaking continuity.  The closest I've come is using spelled quartz crystals for long-distance communication, but that's something Baksrit came up with when she first met Deidrei's Artemin clan, three years after "Trix" (no one's noticed why I call it that yet? :o Zoinks!), and she didn't associate it with radio even if there might be some similarities to those of us in the know.  So, you're right about radio.

Then again, as far as I know, they didn't wear underwear during that timeframe, so panties are highly unlikely too.  In fact, Deidrei wears nothing resembling underwear and has no taboos about wandering about nude, although she does know when it's appropriate and when it isn't.

Fortunately, it isn't an issue.  I already have a story idea for Challenge #1 set in a more modern world, but it takes longer to do because it's in a different format than plain text.  I don't know when I'll get it finished, if ever.

Also, do you know anyone who knows Latin well enough to help translate for me?  Two Latin dictionaries and a book on Latin phrases are not enough for getting a grasp on the language.

Here's the idea I'm working on?

(Also, the serial's name is finalized as "Moon Rabbit".  Part 1 has been tweaked a bit.)

Now for Part 3.

Sorta like "Star Wars" becoming the series title, rather than just the movie title, as it was, originally. ;)

I'll be reading Part 2 later today...

Sort of, although Star Wars was the official title in the beginning whereas "Winterfur Trix" was a working title meant to be replaced when an actual title was decided on.

I just finished my submission to this Challenge. Not really V-Day themed, though, just a silly little tale about a young cat girl who has something new to show her family...

Well, the calendar events were mostly for the benefit of posting the challenges in a timely manner, and concentrate on the keywords, so that's entirely fine! And a very silly read, too! Nice thing to come home to from an exhausting trip... ;)
