Well, this should come as no surprise-- I'm late...again. :P
Been a busy month, though- Mostly off-'net, as my mum and I were preparing for a California State Retiree conference in Anaheim, the other end of the state from where I am.
But I'm back, so let's get to business, shall we?
This time the time of year and keywords do have something in common, being that it's August, usually referred to as the "Dog Days of Summer", since- NORMALLY- little happens, no holidays (in the US) to speak of, and everyone's out doing summer things...like camping under the stars....
And thus, in one go, we have our three keywords:
DOG for the species (again)- Can be any canine species or breed, just like the last time I used this keyword... CAMPING - Yes, this is a new keyword! STARS - I've already done the SUN and MOON as keywords, so why not?
The rules are simple enough, I think: Unlike other writing prompts, I don't use phrases- I use keywords. Therefore, you, the writer, need only use the three keywords in any manner-- I don't care if it's short, long, serious, fun, sexual, violent or clean, all I ask is to have fun with it. :) Also, I don't expect the obvious. ;) While I tie these in to certain calendar events, you're not bound by said calendar or events, and there is no expiration date. You can even combine past and/or present Challenges, if you want- Just have fun!
While these Writing Challenges are posted to Inkbunny only, submissions may be posted anywhere at the author's discretion. And yes, this being Inkbunny, I have no problem with the cub genre- I'm surprised no submissions have yet taken advantage of that! (It's not required, so those not into cub don't have to.) All I ask is that if you've got something in the works, just let me know-- I don't need to know the details, particularly if it's a surprise. :) Basically, I want to know if my Writing Challenges are worth doing. When it's posted (I would prefer here on Inkbunny), a link will go with the Challenge summery. Speaking of, below are the past & present Challenges, with links to the original Challenge journals and stories submitted for each Challenge (now with thumbnail links to each submission).
If you have any questions about this or my Writing Challenges in general, feel free to ask!
Below is a list of past and current Challenges, with links to all submissions for each.
So, let's see... I've gotten #2, #3, #4, #5, #7, #8, and I'm still fumbling through #9. That's 6½ out of 13. I really need to get busy and catch up, don't I? I've still got at least two more chapters of Moon Rabbit to finish after the one I'm presently on, then it's time to post Do Unto Me on here. Hopefully, I'll have "Deidrei's Summer Special" (so far, it's independent of your Challenges) done while it's still summer. Doggone it! I'll never get these and other ideas done if I just sit here and dream about them. :(
At the moment, you're 1-up on me with my story challenge, just for the record.
Also, the Star, the Moon, and the Sun? That's three out of 21 major arcana cards right there. ;p

Mmmmmmyyyeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss.... ;) You should get those keys a-clickin' and crank 'em out.... ;) I'm right now trying to rekindle an idea I had at the start of the month, but other things conspired to prevent me from writing... :P So, before I get Story #9 out, you should get something out.... :) I still hope to reach 12 stories this year, and hope I can exceed that, karma willing!
So... Let's get writing! :D

On the submissions for your Challenges, I'm not really counting the leptic quake myth except maybe as ½ (but it wasn't the ½ I referred to earlier; that ½ was the then incomplete Part 6 of Moon Rabbit) because it used the wrong theme. Also, it's 1-1 on my writing challenge, since I'm counting from when I issued it (it was supposed to be from when you accepted it, but I don't know if you have or not).
Here's to our stories! :p
