Here it is, the First of July, Canada Day to all my friends up north, a few days before America's own Independence Day on the Fourth, and it's my mother's 65th birthday-- She is now officially a Senior Citizen. :P Now that it is July, we have National Hot Dog Month and National Baked Bean Month-- Gee, is it picnic time already?
And that means it's time for yet another Writing Challenge-- The 11th, so far. Are you ready for it?
Well, then, let's get crackin' and shoot some literary fireworks, shall we? :)
The species this time is DOG, any breed, for the hot dogs... ;)
Next up, to go with those hot dogs, we'll have some BEANS... *frrrp!*
And finally, let's have a BIRTHDAY party, so we can serve up those hot dogs 'n beans! ;)
And of course, the usual: There are no restrictions, other than using the three suggested keywords (this time, DOG, BEANS and BIRTHDAY), just as long as you have fun with it. :) It can be shorter than those short-shorts you see on the beach boardwalk or longer than those long, hot summer days; it can be clean or quite naughty, but above all else, I don't expect the obvious-- Just have fun! That's what independence days and birthdays are for-- FUN! :)
As with all previous Challenges, there is no expiration. Calendar events tied to each Challenge are NOT required in the submissions, as they're only there for me to focus on insofar as when to post 'em. I'm always trying to post 2 Writing Challenges each month, but I'm not perfect. Being that there is no expiration, you're free to go back to any previous Challenge, if the inspiration hits. :)
Below is a list of past and current Challenges, with links to all submissions for each.
Considering what I've got planned for Moon Rabbit, this would fit in perfectly. :p On the other hand, I still have that last part to finish. :o Tsk, tsk, it's the lazy, hazy daysies of summer, all right. :/

I've actually been aiming for lesser-known species, especially to increase awareness of them (particularly endangered species), though I planned on using them for Challenges where the species of choice is less obvious. :)
Oh, my- Another night for reading! :D Nice use of bean puns in the co-titles... ;)
