Character Sheet for Nequi
Character Description
During one of Careen's sweeping conquests — a campaign not of destruction, but of calculated absorption — she came upon a curious scene in the smoldering ruins of a newly annexed tribe. Amid the spoils and surrender, there was a tent set apart, veiled in layers of embroidered cloth and guarded like a sacred relic. Inside, she found Nequi — a pale, ethereal girl with albinism, her white hair spilling over her shoulders like moonlight over snow. Though she was the daughter of a chieftain, she lived as a prisoner cloaked in silk and silence.

Background/History
Nequi is Aztec for "to want"
Note: Nequi had never been allowed to touch sunlight. Her people believed she was destined to be the bride of Exiseen, their fierce and jealous sun god. To let her step beneath the sky — even by night — was to risk the heavens claiming her forever. Raised in seclusion, swaddled in myth and reverence, Nequi’s world was no larger than the tent that housed her.
Note: Careen, with her instinct for sensing potential in even the most unlikely places, crouched by the tent’s threshold and asked the girl a simple question: "Would you rather take your chances with me?" Nequi didn’t speak — she couldn’t. The idea of freedom, of the outside world, was a fable. Yet something stirred behind her pale eyes. Curiosity. Fear. Desire.
Note: Careen assigned Twinkle, her keenest evaluator of talent and truth, to uncover the girl’s worth. Twinkle returned shaken — enchanted even — by what she had found. Nequi absorbed languages, histories, customs, and tactics with a memory like a vault and a hunger like fire. She was brilliant, disciplined, and eager to learn — except when it came to the ancient dogma she’d been raised on. Her belief that she belonged to Exiseen remained immovable, as if burned into her soul. Careen saw no need to break that — not yet. Faith, after all, could be redirected. And a sun god's bride, if guided correctly, could become a force even the heavens would envy.
Note: Rove loves to work with Nequi writing songs and the two entertain within the evenings after the sun goes down - Rove would rather work with Nequi all the time but their duties and work during the day take priority.
Note: Braid paints on Nequi's markings daily, in a symbolic gesture of hiding her from Exiseen's gaze so she can venture out into the world (heavily bundled under cloths and silk of course). See Image 2
