It's incredibly sad for me to see you go. Since the early days of me finding my way around the fandom, your work has been almost ever-present. I'm pretty sure your works were among those I first saw on not4chan that slowly brought me into the furry fandom.
But I empathize all too much with your reasons for leaving. Too many people forget that hobbies and fandoms are not supposed to be all-consuming, and that life is best lived with a healthy balance. Moving forward, making changes, and shifting focus are all parts of that.
I hope the world treats you well in all of your future endeavors!

This is not something that I did under pressure or just came up with five minutes ago. I started feeling jaded about two years ago. The pacing of me posting has becoming more and more spread apart to the point it's becoming almost non existent.
I gave the fandom all I had in store, and now I need to look for something else I can put my energy into.
Who knows, maybe you're right. Maybe 5, 10 years from now I'll hit my muse again, but for the time being I don't think I'll be drawing again for a long time.

What ever you chose to focus on next I urge you, don't stop drawing. Not even to share if you'd rather not, but don't put the stylus down. It's a skill that quickly tarnishes and you'll be amazed I suspect at how much you will miss the simple focus of putting lines down to a page. If you're making it less of a focus for your life I can understand, but I do urge you to keep the sketch pad at your knee. I'll be curious to see what you move on to that you'd prefer this was swept some what away first, but I'm sure it will interesting. After all, it's not like the door's closed if you do chose to return to this. In a art sense that is. I'm sure we'll see you about otherwise.

Aw, that's honestly really sad. I mean, you literally created my first two furry characters when I asked for generic cat twins, then later asked to keep and reuse them. I had no intention of doing so when I commissioned you at first. No intention of creating characters. I just wanted smut. Then I got an idea, and then more. Then had you draw the first two offspring of those cat twins. And everything has snowballed since. I pretty much owe you for all my watchers, favorites, stories, just their entire world and existence.
I've been a fan of yours for a very long time. Going back to CubCentral, even before I joined FA in 2007. I've saved anything I've seen of yours that I liked, though I suspect there's probably still more I have not seen. So it's sad to see you go.

A few months after I got that first sketch from you, I had an idea for a commission from another artist. But I didn't feel like I had any characters. Then I thought about the "generic kitten twins" I got from you. I sent you a note on FA about it, asking if I could own and use them. After all, in my mind, you created the characters outright. I just asked for "generic kitten twins." I had no design in mind, no intention of using them beyond it. So they were essentially your design. Your making. Just I was paying you for it.
You gave me the go-ahead to keep them. And as I said above, that snowballed into everything I have now. I have over 60 characters now. :o I admit I'm a bit over-active when it comes to creating new characters. But way back then, I had no intention or drive to create any. I also teamed up with ScottySkunk to borrow his characters and mix them with mine and add to their world.

Just wanted to chime in to say that although I don't fully understand the reasoning, I respect that it cannot have been an easy decision to come to and I hope that it helps bring a sense of closure for you! I've been in the position of needing to make a big personal decision that doesn't make sense to others, so I can relate to that feeling.

It was great to see you drawing my characters over at Secret Moon. Also thanks for answering my questions when I asked for advice. But yes, sometimes you need to burn your idols in order to move forward and grow.
The fact that you made this announcement and gave advance notice, instead of just fading out or suddenly nuking your gallery, speaks to the quality of your character (not the kind you draw, but the kind you embody). And if you decide to start drawing hot cub pr0nz again some time in the future, that's good too.

Cutting ties and removing artwork will only hurt the viewing fans in the long run, and it's not that hard to just not upload...just put up a journal about why you are hiatus and disable PMs in Privacy and Personal Communications under Inkbunny's settings if you wish to lurk.

Going out of your way to needlessly destroy old content, robbing future generations of users from experiencing it is irresponsible and short sighted. Leonardo Da Vinci didn't burn his gallery down when he didn't want to draw anymore; why do you think that's at all appropriate? What you're planning on doing will do nothing but see to it that you're eventually forgotten by the community I'd think you'd cherish quite a lot given your almost two decades within it. It truly is the end of an era when such a corner stone to the fandom leaves. At least with you however, its not a bad leave and you're going out on good terms, while also still (sort of) staying around. Its a right shame about losing all the artwork though. Your stuff is honestly some of the very earliest, if not the first stuff I ever found in the fandom, and is one of the main reasons I even joined the fandom officially all those years ago.
In my eyes you're right up there with the legends, like Jim Hardiman (rest in peace), Jay Naylor, Meesh, Wolfynail, Zaush, and a few others. So having you leave the fandom really makes me feel old! xD
I hope life treats you well, and that your future plans all pan out exactly how you want them to! And hopefully some day you might get the urge to start posting art again, and if you do, I'll be here waiting. :)

I totally get needing to do other things at a certain point in one's life. Post 40, 5 to 10 years doesn't seem as long either. I'm glad you're doing what works for you moving forward. You're wrong about a few things. It's always said that an artist's harshest critic is themselves, and you're no exception. You think you suck at it, you don't. You think you can't compare to some of the artists that have come in over the years, some people have listed big names in the furry art world, and you may not believe it but you really do belong right up there with them all.
I remember back in those days stumbling across a little black kitten on CC with absolutely gigantic eyebrows, I remember you being one of the first people who's art I liked so much that I approached and talked to, though we did fall out of touch and never really got back in touch since. You're still going to be around, but your presence here will still be missed greatly.

It's really sad to see you go away especially since I really love your artstyle and you are one of my favorites artists :'( Also it's kinda sad that the TheBigBook never got finished...
I just hope you only made your artworks and journals hidden and didn't delete your whole past with the community and your fans... that would really break my heart to be honest but it's your decision in the end... As a side note, you where the second artist that I watched when I joined Inkbunny and became a Furry in March 2014 :)

Many years ago I suddenly found one of my favorite furry artist leaved. There were not another gallery aggregators yet, so I missed his art very much. Since that time I save all my watched artist's galleries on my hard drive.
So make your way as you feel needed, I can enjoy your art at any moment :)

Things like the Soft Paw Magazine was a golden age and I hope to see something like it again. I have been in the fandom for over 25 years and though much has changed for better and worse, it's nice there are places like this so we can express ourselves. So thank you again for all you have done good sir, I know it's not really the end for you but just a way to take a step away and still view the fandom.
