Background/History

Yodel is a unique hybrid of Mightyena and Swoobat, a creature born with an extraordinary combination of canine instincts and bat-like features. Her sleek, black fur gives way to elegant bat wings that stretch from her back, enabling her to glide through the air with an eerie grace. A large diamond-shaped mark adorns her forehead, a distinguishing feature that further separates her from the typical Mightyena lineage. With long white hair, braided bangs, and striking black eyes, Yodel exudes an aura of mystery and elegance, though her circumstances have forced her into a much darker role.

Note: Born with heightened hearing and the ability to echolocate, Yodel's senses are finely tuned, making her an excellent tracker and navigator. She can detect even the slightest movement or sound, making her invaluable to those who understand her potential. Despite her innate strength, her hybrid nature has marked her as a curiosity and an outsider, often pushing her into situations where her unique talents are exploited.

Note: Captured by the Bone Eater Tribe, Yodel's freedom was stripped away long ago. Her ability to fly, a gift from her Swoobat lineage, kept her alive for longer than most in her position, at first she was used as a member of Skewer's harem but then sentanced to death after Karambit took power. Her execution was stayed though she remains a prisoner to the whims of Karambit, the tribe's ruthless leader. As a servant to Karambit, Yodel is forced to use her abilities to aid the tribe, often acting as a scout or messenger, though her heart yearns for escape.

Note: Yodel is controlled via a collar she is forced to wear when she leaves the tribe's grounds. The pieces of metal she wears are metal spikes, incredibly uncomfortable to wear and making sleep almost impossible. The collar is only removable via a key that Karambit has entrusted to Kris.

Note: While outwardly compliant, Yodel is a spirit constrained, her wings clipped by the very people who once saw her as a plaything. Her loyalty to Karambit is thin at best—she bides her time, waiting for an opportunity to break free and reclaim her life. Despite the brutal nature of her captivity, Yodel has managed to hold onto her dignity, using her acute hearing and echolocation to stay aware of the world around her, even when it seems she has been left alone in her servitude.

Note: Though she is fiercely independent and would rather fight for her freedom than submit to her captors, Yodel’s current situation has forced her into submission. She knows the price of defying Karambit too many times, but the fire of rebellion still burns within her. Every day in servitude is another day she plans her escape, watching, listening, waiting for the right moment to fly away from the life she never asked for.

Note: Her captivity has made her form a strong bond with Break, another hybrid that is forced to serve the Bone Eaters. The thought of leaving him and escaping always weighs heavy on her mind.
