JAMIE (concerned): "Uh, who's that boy, and why is he running to us naked?"
MUBBA: "That boy is Gene. And he probably forgot where he left his shorts and is trying to jog his memory!"
GENE (nonchalant): "Hey, guys! Have any of you seen Mimi? She took my clothes and---"
MIMI (screaming off-camera): "ACK! I'VE RAN INTO A SPIDER'S WEB!"
JAMIE (to self): "Oh my!"
MUBBA (pointing in Mimi's general direction): "I haven't, but something tells me she's over that way!"
GENE (elated): "Oh, sweet, sweet revenge around the corner waits! ...I'll save you, Mimi! MUHAHAHAHA!"
/exit Gene/
MIMI (shouting off-cameral): "KNOCK IT OFF, GENE! AND GET THAT SPIDER AWAY FROM ME!"
GENE (shouting in turn): "BACKPACK! NOW, MIMI!"
TASLI (casually, to Jamie): "And those two are our other best friends"
JAMIE (taking it in): "I see..."
MUBBA (to reader, RE: Gene/Mimi): "Ever get the feeling like you missed something?"

Anyway...
I drew this comic once before, and made a stupid mistake (everything I do is errant, but some errors are easier to overlook than others) and scrapped the drawing without ever uploading it. I then made a spite (ie, a stick-figure) version of the same comic on the back of an envelope... And despite uploading it, I hated that drawing even more than the original ...so I deleted it and drew this. :P
This drawing is basically the same as the original, though I drew it in the lack-a-daisy way I made comics in the 2010s (nostalgia!). Does it look like hell? Damn sure does! But it's perfectly serviceable to get a chuckle or two from a few watchers.
Well, actually, you shouldn't laugh at this: FA, I think, outlaws this kind of material now,

I mean, the cubs are roughly the same ages, but I don't think that matters anymore (they're in the presence of nudity, even if it's only Gene's). FA's revised policy is yet another demotivating factor for me, as if I needed another one (I destroyed a Gene-Tasli-Water Pet cartoon I was working on when I read FA's update ...but I'd've probably scrapped it anyway).

And don't mind FA. In a few more months, they'll probably make more changes to their so-called policy. Nudity of a character of any age that doesn't include any genitalia or proof of otherwise pertaining to determining the gender of said character shouldn't be outlawed; period. If bare butts are safe for a conservative company like Disney, it should be fine for everyone else.

It's never bitten me yet---the only time in recent (ie, in the last ten years or so) that I've gotten in trouble on FA, was for my most recent 'Pride' cartoon in which Tasli 'misgendered' one of Mustard's friends. ^^ The way I see it, these are my characters---they are whatever I want to to be or not be, even at the same time. ^^
But back on topic, I think this is just being as a flex. I noted they said 'We're not witch hunting', implying they (the staff) aren't really that interested or invested in this.

Spiders are cool, but unfortunately for everyone, especially the bugs they eat, they have to put their webs all OVER the place to make sure they catch something. It's out fault for running into them totally! That aside REVENGE!! This is a very cute follow up / sequel to the previous toon and I love it. So much going on yet so little too. :D
Also a Lisa Frank pencil is perfect for the Halloween season. It's a shame she closed her factory several years ago but there are rumors it's going to be opening up again soon. Sometime if you feel like it you should look her up. She was a VERY..."unusual"...individual. :D
