Seems Gene and Mimi are out on the trail. Let's see what they're up to!
/Gene walks into a spider's web/
GENE: "ACK! I've walked into a spider's web!"
/Mimi looks Gene over for the spider/
GENE: "Do you see the spider on me anywhere?"
MIMI: "No ...but that doesn't mean anything! Best take off all your clothes so I can shake them out!"
/Mimi shakes out Gene's clothes/
GENE: "Still no sign of the spider; I think I'm good"
/Gene notices Mimi folding the clothes and putting them in her backpack/
GENE: "Why are you putting my clothes in your backpack?"
MIMI (winking): "Because you didn't bring one, and your mom has to wash your clothes before they can be worn again! We can't take any chances!"
GENE: "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"
MIMI (sheepish): "Maybe"
/Gene gives chase to Mimi/
GENE: "Gimmie back my clothes, Mimi!"
MIMI: "Nuh-uh! You'll have to catch me first!"
...Poor Gene---bunnies are fast, even the funny-animal types (and it's a long way back to Gene's apartment). ^^
And, no, I've not forgotten about Jamie---I'll continue that story when I get to it. ^_^
Also, I can hear people complain that I kept this drawing WAY too clean: neither anything to censor, nor even a cheeky bare bottom! D: Well, you have the recent (and incongruous) sensitivities of society to thank for that. More importantly (for me) is I want to be able to upload this to FA without having to worry about it---I'm insecure about my art enough as it is without finicky AUP and ToS issues looming over it. q: All that said, I don't think a NSFW version of this comic would've improved it at all; I don't know why anyone would want 'pr0n' from me to begin with. I mean, you know how some complain that nude resorts are full of old, unattractive people? Ok, well, with that in mind why would someone want pr0n from one who can't draw? q:

Pencil...
The featured pencil is the 'Spider' by Everest Pencil Co. This Japanese pencil is without the 'JIS' (Japanese Industry Standard) mark, so it was probably made before 1946 (though I'm no expert on Japanese pencils). ^^
Everest is a rare maker of pencil. I've featured only one other pencil from Everest, shown here https://inkbunny.net/s/2597051
The above-linked was definitely a pre-war specimen!
Last, there is another Japanese pencil bearing the name of 'Spider'. These other 'Spider' pencils were used for coloring, and were stamped 'EFP'. What's interesting is the coloring pencils were all numbered '666' (regardless of color---how very sinister)! The coloring pencils were not designated with a maker's stamp, so their manufacturer is presently unknown to me. :3

You could combine those two story strings. Naked Gene running into Tasli, Mubba and Jamie asking if they saw Mimi with his clothes before he continues giving chase, before Tasli states to Jamie that this their other best friend Gene xD

You're little comics always make me chuckle! :D Also regarding the "666" on the pencil, it might be because the Japanese according to a friend, like English sounding words and probably figured "sixsixsix" was a cool sound. I can't be certain that's the case but I'm pretty sure since they're mostly Shinto and Buddhist that that number wouldn't have any other meaning to them.
