A little mother's day commission

Ion didn't know what he was in for when he took on this contract. All it was saying was to investigate some pirate activity in a few coastal towns and Hunt down the pirate leader who's name on the contract was Freya. After stalking his prey, Ion and his comrades were about to make their move when Ion confronted his target. Preparing himself for a fight, Ion was a bit confused when Freya started walking over to him slowly and embraced him in a deep hug. Ion trying to process what was going on, noticed tears running down her face and then he heard that voice, the voice he has not heard since he was 8 years old, the age he though he lost his mother. Ion dropping his equipment, slowly embraced back as emotions of sadness, anger and joy started building up inside of him. Not knowing how to fully react, Ion just started crying into the shoulder of the mother he thought was long dead. Freya regaining some composure, started wiping away the tears from Ion's eyes and tried to calm him down a bit. Ion's comrades stood down at the sight of the heartwarming scene unfolding in front of them, as they have not really scene Ion act in this manner and it put them at ease.
Ion and Freya cherished the moment for a bit, for Freya even though Ion was on the side of her enemy, she was proud of what he became, and for Ion he was just happy that the stories he was told all those years ago were untrue. Standing down, Freya asked if he would bring her in, as she would not try to cut down one of her own but Ion told her not to worry, as he would never harm his family. He never expected her to be the pirate he was Hunting (as he never knew his mother's real name was Freya) though it started to make sense to him from all the lessons she taught him as a child. Ion's comrades left them alone for a while so that the both of them could catch up a bit before she had to sail off. Ion ripped up the Contract against his mother in front of her, telling Freya to liver her life as she saw fit and he would make sure no harm would come to her, but asked her to not be so ambitious. Freya tried to take Ion's message to heart, but sometimes she couldn't handle herself, making Ion's life a little problematic with her sprees. Ion would be annoyed by this but no matter what, would make sure no harm would come to his family.
