Virgil is a blood thirsty and savage bandit that loves for slaughtering and burning villages down to the ground. It doesn't matter if it a man, woman or child, he will strike them down and those that are lucky enough to survive his attacks are usually captured by his group of bandits and sold off into slavery or taken back to Virgil's home base where he will inflict sever torture where you wish you would die faster. In an unfortunate event, a young Ion and Zephyr took on the Hunter Contract of taking him out but found out they were not match for his might. In trying to save Zephyr from a mortal blow, Ion got his left arm severed off and before he could react Virgil sliced him open, somewhat disemboweling Ion. Before Virgil could delver the killing blow to a severely injured Ion, as he walked over to Ion's bloody body lying on the ground, intending to plunge his sword into Ion's chest, Zephyr managed to distract him momentary as he scooped up Ion and ran off. Virgil tried to tail them but Zephyr's speed was too fast for him to follow and Ion wasn't leaving a blood trail good enough to track as well. Angry that his prey got away, he found Ion's severed left arm and chucked it in a nearby river, while taking Ion's sword as a trophy. Virgil encountered Ion a second time years latter on a chance meeting, still being able to overpower him, breaking Ion's arm and legs in the process. Noticing who he was fighting, Virgil took Ion back to his home base to subject him to further torment and severe torture. He performed countless experiments and unnecessary surgeries on Ion and before he could rip Ion's heart out, his comrades were able to mount a rescue and take Ion back. Frustrated at a second time being denied to kill his prey, Virgil set off on a massive murder spree, evading and killing anyone who dared to come after him, becoming more of a nightmare for the Contract Hunters and Ion himself
I wanted to get artwork of this character done for a long time as he is very important in Ion's story. HariKuran did a fantastic job of capturing his personality and his pleasures in this one
