Meeka operating on Ion in one of his bi-yearly surgeries which were required due to the different injuries he has sustained over the years, though now an awakened demon, Ion doesn't really have the need to undergo these procedures anymore, Narche forced him to continue on with these "treatments" as the existence of everyone's demon nature is a secret to the world, that Ion still needed to hide that fact, from those who are not privy to that information, he needed to keep up the ruse of being just normal and not to arouse anyone's suspicions, which meant even unnecessary medical procedures are a must, even if he has no desire to undergo them anymore, he would just have to suck it up and take he incisions in stride, after all for him, as Zephyr would say, it is just some much needed rest while Meeka does her thing in the case of his bowels, or Oliver does his in the case of his heart, more so the hospital stay afterwards which Ion really hates but with a new agreement with Meeka in the last few years, with Ion getting certified as a surgical nurse, him working with her during the day in her surgeries as he recovers, he is allowed to go home during the evenings instead of spending them in a hospital bed as long as he continued to work with her for as long as she deems necessary in regards to that recovery ~
