Even if you are broke, those of you who have sent me supportive messages have done a great deal for me. I won't lie, it is not easy to be swamped by hundreds of abusive messages from pathetic individuals. They'll say it's just criticism for my drawing, but I don't count wishes to see me dead, accusations that I'm a paedophile or child molester or just general "you're fucking scum" types of comments as "criticism". A few dozen people doing it is fine, but when it's hundreds it's pretty damn shitty. Because of you lovely folk, though, I'm doing just fine emotionally XP. So thank you for that!

Ill admit I let my emotions get worked up during the fuss in the last few days but the source of that was just due to my dislike of crappy people just using the topic to make others angry. People having differing opinions is normal but there is no call to publicly damn someone over a differing opinion. So keep up them good arts Roars, and don't let the hateful activists get to ya bud!

No political cartoonist gets an easy go. Never mind pioneers like Thomas Nast or the pro provocateurs at Charlie Hebdo, American furry artist-- and very opinionated political commentator-- Jay Naylor has been a pariah in many furry circles for years. if you're going to draw political cartoons, then you are going to piss of someone, somewhere. Guaranteed. And there WILL be backlash. I already told you that you do not create in a vacuum. Nobody online does. Every time we hit that 'submit' button, that submission goes around the world, bang. And here comes the feedback. I had local negative feedback for years when I was younger, for being openly queer during Reagan's 80 and the 1990s when the atmosphere towards gays in America was far more hostile. And yes, that negative feedback included people actively trying to ruin me and block my success because I was something they disapproved of, and in their eyes I should be punished for that. This is the grown-ups' world, and it does not care if you get your feelings hurt. You are daring to make bold statements with your art. Be prepared for the nastiness that WILL be coming your way.
