I'm nervous. Once we finally get a face reveal, people will compare my fanmade design with the official one.
If I drew a lizard face "right", I'd be seen as a copycat, or there will be a lot of misconstrued connotations between these characters ("they're related and on the same side because they're both reptiles").
But if I get it "wrong", then people will just make fun of how I drew my own sona or simply slam me for being a BAD copycat. No matter that my fanmade character's design is much, much older than this official character's.
So I'm damned no matter what happens.

So to answer your question about what happens if they meet? Nothing good... :<

Sungazer lizards... are cousins to armadillo girdled lizards.

So it looks very much like Sega is using a design that looks almost exactly like my sona. Or even just taking my design.
And turning him into a her, and her into a bad guy.
