I'm half expecting her to be one of the casualties of the incidents from Lazarus Next's chapter. Perhaps karmically erased while she was at the island... Or worse: partially erased, then rebuilt to be someone's toy and suffer the same fate those children suffered.

Honestly, even with the corruption shown and explained in the previous chapter, it's going to be interesting to see how you explain all this in your world's history. I've heard of this sort of thing irl, but only in clandestine "Did it really happen that way?" ways; basically, not out in the open. Stories from Hollywood, that sort of thing. A lot of, "I hope this isn't real." and fear that it is.
So, it's pretty jarring to see it exaggerated like this. ^.^;;
