Also the question on why the yellow fox has such a gun... whether the grey fox's response is because of the gun, or is common enough that the yellow fox needed such a gun in the first place. Either way, it's often the outcome if violence is the first choice.
Changing a label doesn't change what it is. Also the question on why the yellow fox has such a gun.
Javi is in Spain, and doesn't really follow American politics at all.I'd wager he had no idea who Kirk was before that, and isn't particularly focused on it now, either. Europe doesn't have the massive firearms problem we in the USA do.

Not at all, this comic isn't even about guns, it's about making an effort to understand other people instead of assuming that everyone thinks and feels the same; for example, attacking someone with something that would work against you would only serve to show your own vulnerabilities to your opponent.

Seems kinda rude to make a gun that only kills specific creatures.moreover why would you not just try to understand one another. He really needs toon insurance in cases like this.

Pretty sure the enhancement of panel 2 is supposed to represent a chorus of angel singing, since Yellow apparently completed what they considered a great quest

Changing its label does not change its function... but how it killed the grey fox aiming at the yellow fox and pulling the trigger, that gives new meaning to "irony."

I do love how it's getting to the point where NO ONE understands art or humor anymore. I'm not sure if people are getting dumber or just more eager to find offense in everything.

Both might happen at once: I have found that some people sometimes need to pretend to misunderstand art, because they can't allow themselves to enjoy it unless it perfectly aligns with their political opinions. "You can't be a genet because then we couldn't be friends."

Yeah, it's most annoying when you have media that has very overt messages about civil rights, pro-immigrant, anti-bigotry, etc. and decades later people complain that those franchises have only recently "gone woke." Like Superman, X-Men, or Star Trek, for example. For the most part, it seems to be that those folk completely missed the blatant social commentary, likely due to them being kids and it just going over their heads. And because they grew up to have opinions vastly different from the media they consumed as a child, they simply ignore those messages existed and insist that those messages are new to the media franchises and not ones that have always been there.
I guess it's more comforting to think of these things as being new trends rather than things that have been part of society for decades.

Please don't under-estimate "retroactive claiming". Like how people want to say the ancient egyptians were furries. Sometimes to feel more legitimate a brand new movement will just dig through the past and try to claim anything even remotely related to themselves.

And J. K. Rowling was a staunch feminist and the hero of a generation. Until she wasn't. Creators themselves aren't above twisting their own ideas and meaning to try and harvest more popularity/money.
