Character Description
Starwife Elyisa is a member of the Pacific Northwest Council of Wizards and Witches. Like Gwendolyn, she qualifies as a true council elder. At 116 years old, she won the genetic lottery. Not until her mid 80s did she start feeling old. She attributes her longevity to a life of good eating, good sleeping, exercise, lots of sex, and having no regrets. She's held the title Starwife of Astoria since she was 15 years old. She lives her days as a fortune teller, but in truth she's a powerful sorceress.

She has some physical magic abilities to manipulate objects, including the ability to fly on a broom. But her real power is through psychological magic that includes hypnosis, behavior alteration, soul reading, etc. She has honed her abilities with crystal balls, magic mirrors, and all manner of silicon crystal based magic tools. Elysia is the only member of the council who intimidates Gwendolyn. Despite her centuries longer life, she has no grasp on Elysia's psychological magic abilities. They're just too different. The starwife can cast a psychological spell just through eye contact and an engaging conversation. She'll steer the conversation in the direction of the intended spell and start digging. Eventually, through planted memories or thoughts, she can make her subject do whatever she wants them to.

Starwife Elysia joined the world of the Northwest Magicals just shy of 100 years ago. When she was 17 years old, she attended Count Lucas's 400th birthday party at his castle on Lake Chelan using her great aunt's invitation. From then on, she has been a loved, feared, respected, and sometimes hated figure. She developed a close personal friendship with Gwendolyn. Elysia found the White Witch very interesting, nearly 800 years of life and experience. Gwendolyn helped Elysia with her physical magic abilities, and in turn Elysia helped Gwendolyn with magic relating to fortune telling, crystals, and use of light and imagery. Specifically, Elysia helped Gwendolyn improve use of the crystal embedded in her wand.

Their friendship had its rocky times. Elyisa and Gwendolyn's personalities couldn't have been more different. The young squirrel being very social, forward, fearless, and rather impatient, clashed with the old rat being quiet, shy, reserved, and generally a little awkward and stubborn. "Well you musta been a pain your uncle's ass!" Elysia barked one time out of frustration. This hurt because, well, it was true. It had also been centuries since she'd had a teacher. Let alone a teacher who was not only 781 years younger, but possessed magic abilities that Gwendolyn barely understood and could never match.

It was early on in their friendship, Elysia was in her late 20s when Gwendolyn first visited her in Astoria. Everything was good. Gwendolyn had heard of The Third Eye of Thane, she had met Elysia's great aunt, Starwife Collette on a few occasions. But when Elysia showed her witch friend the ancient crystal ball, something happened. To Gwendolyn, the crystal ball looked like the dark void she'd observed in the depths of the ocean as a cub. She could feel the energy being pulled from her face, an ever spinning and sucking back hole. The 18 concentric quartz crystals formed an infinite swirl of psychic energy that Gwendolyn could not grasp or control. She was a creature of the physical world. Yes, she could read everyone's energy, emotions, and focus, but she could not control them. This terrifying device was the key to unlock unsuspecting minds, a decryption device that allowed the user to reach into anyone's soul and turn it like a child's pull toy. And this 20 something girl, barely passed her teens, could wield it like the simplest magic wand. Elysia noticed the catatonic terror that had engulfed her new friend and used every energy blocking spell she could cast on pillows and blankets and threw them over the crystal ball.

This experience humbled both the young sorceress and the old witch.
Personality
Confident and very alpha. Unafraid to speak her mind. Compassionate, but only later in life did she really learn to be tactful. She still comes across as rather abrasive. Patient and affectionate toward young creatures, but snappy and short with adults who show any kind of ineptitude or incompetence.

Determined and goal oriented, doesn't waste her time or anyone else's for that matter. Very serious about her skills and knowledge of magic, takes it very seriously. Outside of her magical life, Elyisa is much more laid back. Her living space is a bit disorganized and cluttered with odds, ends, and cutesy things as she considers neatness unimportant.

Dark, dirty, disgusting sense of humor that will make a soldier blush. Very social and curious about others.
Likes/Dislikes
Loves magical lore, crystals, and rocks. She spends large amounts of time researching and experimenting with their magical properties. This is where she and Gwendolyn have a common interest. Speaking of the White Witch, Elysia has a special place in her heart for the ancient rat. She finds Gwendolyn to be one of the most fascinating creatures she's ever encountered.

She likes young people, their energy and positive view of the world(we see this in how she interacts with Gabby). Friends and family are wonderful and she loves hosting guests in her home.

Dislikes authority unless it's sincerely for the greater good. She finds most adults disappointing, useless, heartless, and full of prejudices that have no use in a correctly functioning society. Elysia does not suffer fools, and she won't hesitate to unleash a debilitating spell or curse on someone she thinks the world could do without.
Background/History
We need to go back a little further than just Elysia's history for this one. In the year 5935, twin squirrel-girls were born in Engleshire. As children, they were both identified as future starwives. The problem is, there can only be one starwife(at this time anyway.) The twin girls developed a deep rivalry with each other. Their relationship was antagonistic and competitive. A soothsayer predicted that one would eventually kill the other to determine the new starwife.

This was during Engleshire's 8 year Civil War for Unity. Engleshire was still a country of species tribalism, 'goodbeasts' and 'vermin', as neighboring Mossflower had been until 270 years earlier. But Mossflower had prospered since and this didn't go unnoticed. Uprisings began among the goodbeasts of Engleshire, voices suggested abolishing the vermin slave class and uniting the kingdoms. There was fierce division among everyone, including the twin squirrels destined to be Starwives.

The Engleshire Civil War ended with The United Revolutionaries' victory. Engleshire would be united under one king. Species would no longer determine one's class and a market economy modeled after Mossflower's would be established. Like in Mossflower, those who opposed this new nation and culture either fled, resigned themselves to it, or continued to cause trouble. Kathryn, the losing starwife sister, had to either accept her twin's appointment as Starwife or be banished. She banished herself and took the Third Eye Of Thane with her. Kathryn journeyed to Cascadia, then known as New Mossflower. There she established herself as Starwife Kathryn, wielding the power of her crystal ball. 12 generations later, her great(x11) niece Elysia was born in Astoria on December 2, 6433. Starwife Elysia couldn't be more different from her bigoted ancestor.

Elysia Loren Trillium is the second child of Drew and Buttercup Trillium. She had an older brother named Bow. Elysia had a happy working class upbringing. She had her father's working class boldness and her mother's bookworm discipline. It didn't take long for her parents to notice their daughter was special. She was fearless and beautiful, but compassionate. She was articulate and academic, but swore like a sailor by the time she was 8. She also had a distinct interest in crystals and the way she could 'see images' in them. She accompanied her dad to a friendly gambling game one night. It was a 'guess which card' type, low stakes. But as little Elysia guessed the correct card every time, the father and daughter had to make a quick exit with their winnings. "Dad, those guys wanted to kill us!" she said. Drew knew he had to take Elysia to his crazy aunt, Starwife Collette.

8 year old Elysia loved her great aunt's home, but she was immediately drawn to Collette's crystal ball. "Careful with that, sweetie." she said. Elysia put a finger on the enticing device, "Ohhhh" she said dreamily, like something clicked. "Dad, open that curtain!" she instructed to Drew, he did as his daughter instructed. Elysia, staring at the window, put both hands on the crystal ball. It light up bright white and a beam of light shot out the top. Collette screamed, Drew froze. Elysia yanked her hands away. "How'd you do that??" Collette asked. "I felt the crystals inside." was Elysia's response.

From that day on, Elysia was mentored by Starwife Collette. 7 years later, she was anointed as the new Starwife at age 15. Elysia was skilled with her magic and could ride a broom, but it was her confidence and personality that really qualified her.

"There are creatures you need to meet. I'm too old to attend this." her ailing great aunt told her on her 17th birthday. Collette handed her an invitation. "Join Count Lucas for his 400th birthday." it read.

It was unlike any party she'd ever been to. The drink, the food, the sex, the new magic wielding friends. One was a female rat, a witch named Gwendolyn. Their life-changing friendship would last for the next 100 years.
Relatives/Family
Great(x11) Aunt: Starwife Kathryn Leif Marion, deceased at age 74.
Great Aunt: Starwife Collette Alice Trillium, deceased at age 85.
Father: Drew Charleston Trillium, deceased at age 80.
Mother: Buttercup Ingrid Trillium, deceased at age 99.
Brother: Bow Rustin Trillium, deceased at age 42 in workplace accident.
Husband: Fredward Jack Jacobson, deceased at age 83. (Officially, the starwife is not supposed to be married. For the most part, Elysia doesn't care about rules like this. But she felt it best to keep her birth name.)

Elysia and Fredward had three children together. All of them have since died of old age. Four of her five grandchildren are alive and range in age from 38 to 65. She has 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She is the family matriarch and has decided to extend her life as the pillar of her living family.
World/Setting
Set on planet Earth 50,000 years in the future. Current year is 6549(Year Zero was when time measurements switched from seasons to years.) At this time, parts of Chucky's world are experiencing an industrial revolution and cultural renaissance, others are still in the Middle Ages. Improvements in medicine and education have resulted in reduced death rates, but increased overpopulation problems due to lack of a sexual revolution.

Elyisia lives in Cascadia, officially named December 25, 5680, but known as such for millennia prior. Geographically it borders the Pacific Ocean to the west, California to the south, Moratello to the east, and Sitka Region to the north. We know this area as Oregon, Washington, and the approximate southern half of British Columbia.  Dual capitals are Portland and Seattle, each run by opposing factions of otters and beavers. Official language is a mix of Old Intermountain and World Anthro. Industries are timber, minerals, fish, produce, and weapons. Standard of living varies. Residents of small towns live a Middle Ages version of middle class, but large cities are overcrowded and poverty is common.

The medium sized town of Astoria sits at the mouth of the Columbia River on the south side, we know this place as Astoria, Oregon. Elysia lives in a cabin built into the trunk and roots of a massive oak tree on a hill above town. Astoria benefits from a vibrant fishing and timber industry. This self sufficiency allows the town some independence from Cascadia's increasingly toxic militaristic politics. The local magistrates maintain a good buffer between the beaver soldiers and local citizens. Astoria has become a haven for independent thinkers in both artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits. The starwife line has been a fixture here for centuries and have always maintained a cautious but friendly relationship with Astoria's ruling class. Starwife Elysia remains a beloved part of Astoria's eccentricities.

Cascadia is, in fact, two countries. A rivalry between North American River Otters and North American Beavers has been in play here for nearly 2000 years. Tribal for the most part, occasionally escalating to gangland style violence. But in the last few centuries, as the world started to shrink and money and political power came more into play, the two species began usurping positions in high places. Otters gradually took regions north of the Columbia River, Beavers taking the southern areas, hence the two capitals. Each group now has its own military and large conflicts happen every few months. International commerce has become difficult and confusing from lack of knowing what part of the Cascadian government one is working with. This has led to poverty and unemployment, thus unrest in many areas.

In the time of Chucky and the White Witch, Cascadia is a powder-keg waiting to blow. Two species that want to either rule over the other or wipe the other out. Some want separate countries, others want to keep Cascadia united with one species dominant. Desires vary even more among everyone else. Some loyal to otters, some loyal to beavers, some loyal to none. Many furs and religious organizations have benefited greatly from the divisions, especially financially and politically.

From an international point of view, Cascadia is on the verge of becoming a failed state,
with diplomatic and trade relations becoming nearly impossible
Body
Tall and lanky like most anthropomorphic squirrels, but hunched over with age. In her younger years, Elysia was a solid 10. Incredibly beautiful rusty red fur, long flowing headfur, and a healthy female figure. She held her beauty until her mid 70s when age finally caught up with her. You can still see hints of her youth in her sparkling eyes, and when she removes her sorcerer's hat she still has her long headfur which is now white.

There is no fur left on her hands and feet. Her skin is wrinkled and blotched with age. She no longer trims her claws because it hurts to do so. But in the end she kind of enjoys the whole creepy old sorceress look that she has now.
Clothing
Purple wizard robes. She wears short robes for ease of movement and east of relieving herself. Always barefoot unless it gets real cold, then she'll wear slippers. Pointed wizard's hat with three gold stars indicating she is one of the world's three starwives.
Accessories
Walking stick with no magical properties, it's just a stick. Carries a seer's stone with her when she leaves home. This crystal of silicon with a quartz core is like a mini crystal ball, it's her equivalent of a wand. She can project her magic through it as well as wield magic powers that can only be used with it as an aid.

Elysia's important accessory is her crystal ball, because it isn't just a well made ball of glass. Its official title is The Third Eye of Thane. It is a polished geode composed of semiconducting quartz, dipped in molten glass to form a sphere. Inside the geode are 18 quartz crystals that touch in the hollow center. This allows the wielder to project magical energy in specific directions as opposed to omnidirectional like with a conventional crystal ball.

The Third Eye of Thane was made sometime in the late 46th Century in Spaktomos(Greece). It's unknown if the manufacturer knew of its intense magical properties. More than likely, a creature with magic abilities came across it in a market and  realized what it was. It found its way from one magic user to another and eventually found its way to Engleshire around the year 5000. Here is where it came into the possession of Starwife Varsbara. The middle aged squirrel already had psychic abilities, and she found that her new toy greatly magnified them. Varsbara was a religious creature who's favorite god was Thane, the Squirrelgod of Order. She added the crystal ball to her two others, thus they became the Three Eyes of Thane.

This powerful device can tell fortunes, project images, alter behavior, and greatly magnify the users magic spells. Elysia has perfected her use of it. Mounted in a prominent place, she could influence the behavior of thousands of creatures if she so desired.

Gwendolyn is terrified of the device. Elysia graciously covers it with multiple magic blocking blankets when her friend visits.

Gabby
Starwife Elyisa. She didn't come out as good as I'd hoped. I was going for an aged red squirrel but she came out kinda rusty golden instead. The title of 'Starwife' comes from the Deptford Mice book series by British author Robin Jarvis. You wanna read some good furry horror fiction, read these books. The starwife was a crusty old mystical squirrel character and I really wanted to make one of my own. Elysia, named after the Seattle based Elysian Brewing Company works perfectly into the White Witch comic.

Starwife title and concept (c) Robin Jarvis.

I think she's beautiful *admittedly I have a thing for squirrels* and that color could easly be altered just a bit to give her the bright orange color she had.

The Third Eye of Thane sounds a lot like a mystical version of Cerebos the huge computer / power amplifier that Prof. Xavier uses in The X-Men.  If that's the case and Elysia can use it a competently as you say then yes she truly IS a being to be respected and feared and it's no wonder she and Gwyn have such a strong relationship. I suspect they kind of need each other in a way to keep each other in check somewhat. We've never seen Gwyn angry (that I can remember right now) but I'll bet she could easily raise mountains or rain fire from the sky. And if that's the case they'd NEED someone like Elysia to get through to her and bring her down safely for everyone's sake!

All in all an excellent Character sheet. Keep going. Can't wait to see who you do next! :D

Thanks man! Yes, they're a good balance for each other. We've only seen Gwendolyn get slightly annoyed with Chucky, and it was just personal frustration. Now, there was a scene several pages back where Lynn the beaver got under her skin in a bad way. Gwendolyn does this little fidget with her wand and lowers her head. It was subtle body language, but I wanted to convey that she was trying to hold her cool and see this as a disagreement and not adversarial. Elysia, on the other hand, was very confrontational with Lynn. But that's the difference, Elysia doesn't beat around the bush, she doesn't have the patience. Maybe that's a good thing because she'd doesn't leave anything to hide. If she has contempt for someone(and believe me, she does NOT like Lynn), she just comes out and says it.

Before I forget I wanted to add this : https://youtu.be/aZSCt9w8DEc : but ran out of time after I remembered it. I think it fits her more than any of your characters and from now on she will always be associated with it. :D

I'll be honest, there should be a drawn comic of her story and not making it should be considered a grade three crime with so much to her story and design :3! She's my favorite, that's all I can say uwu.

I don't think she came out that badly in terms of design, though if you really wanted to fix it the color parts of the fur could be a rusty brown, a bit darker overall

Thanks, glad you like her. I tried using the burn tool a bit to darken her up. The reason I didn't go for rusty red was because I wanted her fur to look faded and aged. I thought about doing rusty red and adding a bunch of white, but I then thought those might contrast a little too much and be distracting.

I'd love to do comics of all my characters' personal histories. It would be nice if time was unlimited.

But hey looking the bright side, as she looks right now it fits well in terms of color scheme, and it's easy to look at everything without getting distracted by them too much.

And I believe it is something possible, just going one character at a time, unless you say that because of the colossal amount of OCs in your cast, if it's that then pick the ones that are the most interesting and go from there, correct me if I'm wrong but I think its a good thing to try.

Well this just might be my bias for the elderly talking but… I would love to see this old gal completely naked, and even getting some love from a young stud. I’m sure even at her age she could still offer a hell of a good time.
Hope we get to see more of this squirrel in the future

Lol, thanks. She'd love to know someone like you is out there thinking of her that way. She'll be on several more pages of the comic. And you can bet she'll be looking for that young stud after she's taken the healing potion that eases her pains of age.

Heh nice, do you ever plan on drawing her naked while she’s still elderly?. Also I don’t know if this sounds weird, but I have a mouse OC that I’d be 100% down for you using as that young stud for Elysia

Sorry to say, no. In fact I'm coming to the end of her being in the comic. I want to go back and concentrate on Chucky and Gwendolyn since they're really the focus of the story.

ah that’s a shame, but hey more of Chucky and Gwen is always good. Ngl kinda wished she and Chucky had some fun before she rejuvenated herself. I look forward to seeing more of the comic!
