You are correct sir! Gwendolyn and Elyisa are the two true elders with true elder powers. They could be a power duo unparalleled in the Pacific Northwest.

oh, yes! all this black sabbath revolved more or less around him. thinking, talking, showing, selling his essence.. hey, young skunk, i think i have prediction power too.. i see gwendolyn being with you for real in your near future, so stop wanking thinking of her, she is coming now and she will drain you! :-P - - - great story. well, well done.

reminds me I've had some itching thoughts circling in my mind since the beginning of that sabbath arc - This essence Gwen took from Chucky was supposed to rejuvenate her. As far as I remember, it was never a question of sharing it with other sorcerer/esses, let alone sell it (correct me if I'm wrong). It has been extracted without Chucky's real consent at first, but since then we all know how evolved their relationship. With that last fact in mind, is it right for Gwen to do all this without Chucky's knowledge and assentment, all the more since I don't see many other more personal stuff apart from his own life, than his vital essence?

if i may , chucky is not clueless about it. she told him about the vials, https://inkbunny.net/s/1605634 and here he find all of that. https://inkbunny.net/s/1778403 if i recall correctly he does not know (yet!) of the "business" related to his sperm.

Indeed, that last link shows without any doubt he has been made aware, and though not giving any clear agreement, he certainly doesn't refuse at all either. Thank you for the clue! This shows once again this comic is quite well-thought... :-)

... and full of references and auto-references. it is beautiful (and problematic, at least for me) also for this reason. the next-to-last panel for example hints about a former page; i am certain i don't get all of those hints!

Nice job on the deep dive of my references. I try too keep everything as consistent as possible with no contradictions in the story. But it's always possible that I'll miss something and either repeat it or have something that counters what happened on an earlier page. And by the way, here is the 'date question' page: https://inkbunny.net/s/2351872.

I enjoy how much you guys are into the story and characters. Keep in mind, Gwendolyn IS a witch. If there is something she needs, she's going to acquire it one way or another, with permission or without.

Oh yes we certainly do not forget that, and that is basically what she does at the beginning! But we also came to know her more and see she is certainly not malevolent, she did not turn crazy or condescending from power and longevity, and... she loves. Of course she could totally enslave Chucky by some potion or spell, but obviously that is not her way to deal with things first hand (already proven when she gave Chucky the choice to give his essence freely or by force), she respects him and accepts the dangerous thrill of anything unpredictable that comes up with free will.

She played a very intense psychological game of chance and trust with him. There were many times he could have sprayed her and likely gotten away(although he would have had nowhere to go). In some way, it was Chucky who enslaved Gwendolyn through his own curiosity and unexpected affection for her.

yes, absolutely. and, as you have told us, this being the first time she tried her new, more "invasive" method using her usual, white witch style, she also experimented on herself the "side effects" involved. chucky may not be her lifelong (?) partner, but meeting him surely was a teaching experience for many, other witch(ers) included. - - - stupid joke ahead some time later: *reading the medicament leaflet* collateral effect: can occur unintentional or incidental effects including, but not limited to,. . .
