Character Sheet for Prickella Deanna Quillard
Species
North American Porcupine (Erethizon dorsatum)
Character Description
Gwendolyn's closest friend among the magical creatures of Cascadia. Prickella is what you'd get if Magneto from X-Men and Pikachu had a porcupine for a love child. She isn't technically a witch. She calls herself an 'electric ent', being able to manipulate electricity and magnetism by generating and channeling it through herself.
She generates electricity by rubbing and vibrating her fur and quills in an adorable wriggle that looks like she's trying to belly-dance. Her thick leather boots with natural rubber soles keep her from grounding, allowing a high voltage buildup. She discharges through her fingertips or claws depending on how powerful a zap she wants. Prickella adorns herself with various articles of copper, particularly a large ring around her neck. She uses these to turn parts of herself into an electromagnet, allowing manipulation of ferrous metal objects.
For the most part, Prickella uses her powers to goof around and do tricks. But she does have the ability to throw lethal bolts of electricity and recently learned how to generate a plasma arch using both hands as seen above. She poses as a witch because she likes the look and it fits with her powers. Yelis The Trickster discovered her as a child at a street fair. He kept his eye on her and her family. Once she turned 18, he invited her to join the Pacific Northwest Council of Wizards and Witches. For the past 9 years, she's been the group's youngest member.
Prickella felt like the new kid among the council. Her overly friendly and unfiltered personality doesn't always go well with her magical peers. But she gradually found her place. She is closest with Gwendolyn, and friendly with or at least tolerated by the others.
Personality
Friendly, sassy, and unfiltered. Not judgmental, but can come off that way because she does like to tease. Romantic and sentimental. Not good with priorities and doesn't always know the best choices to make. Fortunately these bad choices usually revolve around males and partying too hard, resulting in personal drama rather than serious trouble.
Prickella is emotionally positive, rarely getting angry or sad. Her most negative emotion is frustration, usually with herself.
Likes/Dislikes
Prickella likes food and sex above all else. Her uninhibited hedonistic desires help her fit in with the other magical creatures. She does not subscribe to her society's taboos.
Prickella enjoys crafts and leatherwork. She constructed her own shoes that greatly expanded her electrical powers by preventing her from being grounded. This interest has allowed her to make a good living in clothing and footwear.
She doesn't like being bored, it gets her into trouble.
Relatives/Family
Prickella was disowned by her family for becoming a witch.
World/Setting
Prickella lives in the Chuckyverse during the same era as Charles Jacobi, a little over 400 years prior to the modern era depicted in Chucky the Skunk. She specifically lives in Crooked Bend, Cascadia near our present day city of Bend, Oregon.
Body
Rather plump, a little overweight due to excessive eating and drinking. Standard earth tone fur color scheme known to her species. Long funky headfur with imbedded detachable quills. Her longest, strongest quills grow from her head and tail. Down her neck and back, her quills are shorter but no less sharp. She has separate patches of small quills on her shoulders, outer forearms, hips, and rump.
Clothing
Like most anthropomorphic porcupines, Prickella has difficulty with clothing. In warm weather, she wears a simple tank top with revealing midriff and a skirt. Both of these clothing articles accommodate her quills, but must be repaired frequently. In cold weather, she wears a heavy overcoat and long skirt.
Large witch's hat. Thick tall leather boots with rubber soles. Natural rubber is rare and expensive. Prickella saved money for years to acquire enough for her boots. She constructed them when she was 21.
Accessories
Various copper fittings and rings.
