IT'S TIME FOR MY ANNUAL ACO SALE ....except I don't sell cards anymore. :p
HOWEVER! ...However, it came to me that I've never offered a comic before, so I'm curious to see what will happen (and perhaps someone else will be, too).
Starts at $0.01 with free shipping: XXXXX
EDIT (07/15/2022): The comic sold for $35 USD exactly! The buyer was refunded (again, this was NOT about money) and the item will be shipped on the 20th (presuming the Lord doesn't call me home betweentime). :3 END EDIT
I'll get into what the comic is about further down, but first let's answer some questions I know are coming...
1. YOU SAY YOU DON'T ACCEPT MONEY FOR YOU ART! D:
That's right, buttercup---I don't. If a watcher wants me to draw something ...they're free to make a suggestion, but actually getting me to do it is supremely difficult (unless I really and truly like you).
However, I do like to have fun now and then, and these annual sales are a means to that end. Also (most importantly) I'm not going to make any money here---odds are I'll lose money shipping the item to Polynesia or wherever the buyer happens to be (as has happened before: I made a grand total of NEGATIVE-$40 on my Mubba ACO from last year)! XD
TL;DR: this auction isn't about making money :3
2. WHERE WILL YOU SHIP TO?
That's up to eBay, but I'm allowing 'international' bids through eBay's global shipping program. I don't do this often enough to know the details offhand, but if you can bid, it means I can (and will) ship it (regardless of the expense to myself ...just be sure you know where you live because I won't send it twice). Additionally, I'll be shipping via media mail---the comic will be placed between the pages of whatever expendable book I have lying around ...so I guess the buyer gets that, too (Yay! Book!)
3. WHAT WILL THE COMIC SELL FOR?
Probably less than $20 USD. I can almost promise you no one outside my watcher list will bid---the eBay community doesn't want my cartoons! XD
4. WHAT ARE WE BIDDING ON?
The comic uploaded above :p
It's a scribble I scratched together with an 80-year-old pencil, on some yellow school paper I bought from the Scrap Exchange (ie, a thrift where shoppers can fill buckets with used/donated craft items for purchase). It's not even a whole sheet of paper---I cut it to (roughly) 21x19cm
The comic has no intrinsic value whatsoever, nor will it ever have.
5. CAN THE WINNER ASK FOR A DIFFERENT DRAWING OR FOR ONE OF YOUR CARDS INSTEAD (or, at least, could they get you to change something on the sold drawing)?
No (and you don't get the pencil, either) ...and no, I will not (goes against eBay's ToS). :3
6. IF I FIND A MISTAKE IN THE ART, CAN I SEND IT BACK?
Bruh, you know going in what the art looks like AND you know I can't draw to start with ...so no (you couldn't).
7. LAST QUESTION: I WANT TO BID BUT I DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW WHERE I LIVE!
Then get a PO box. Also, I'm likely more afraid of you than you are of me. :P
Ok, so let's look at the cartoon...
Seems the cubs are recalling moments from some of their favorite adventures and experiences.
1. Gene laughs at his memory of 'Bath Bomb', in which he and Tasli turned pink in the bathtub: https://inkbunny.net/s/2144273
2. Tasli fondly remembers the water fight between his friends and the trailer wolves, with 'Mubba's Skateboard' at stake: https://inkbunny.net/s/2228273
3. Mimi casts her mind to that one 'Valentine's' Day in which Gene returned her affection: https://inkbunny.net/s/2376389
4. Mubba reminisces about his conquering of the monster catfish from the 'Catfishing' story. Mubba won over Gene and Mimi that day, but Tasli is an ongoing challenge: https://inkbunny.net/s/2275192
Comic was drawn in part via a 'Zephyr' pencil from Wallace, though 90% of it was drawn via a WWII-era 'Western' pencil from National Pencil Co. There are ghost lines and dust clouds throughout---a consequence of both being bad at drawing and changing my mind too often. ^^
...Pencil
The featured pencil is a 'Memory Pencil' from EK. I have no clues about these other than 'Memory Pencils' are cheap and (as of writing) still being produced. I think the colors of these pencils are formulated for blending, and may have an acceptable colorfastness (kinda like the 'Scholar' diffusion of Prismacolor).
Z: No Chip! You can't go back to Argentina! You'll be arrested at the border for sure for your crimes! Just leave the comic there, it's not worth the money!
Chip: It's not about the money... never was...
