No, I didn't cut the card straight. The art sucks, too, but ...if my dumb butt hadn't made any mistakes, my watchers would ask who drew it and if I'd like to buy more commissions. So, when you see failure, you know I'm responsible and that my wallet is closed. :3
Anyway, this is Dexter ...and, yes, I've drawn Dexter before (Dexter last visited here in 2016). :3 This time, however, I drew Dexter in a pose of my own ...which is just of him standing and not knowing what to do with his hands (another way my watchers can tell a given drawing is by me is if it is both awkward and entirely void of creativity).
Dexter is from the Dutch film 'The Dragon that Wasn't (or Was He)?' (TDtWoWH)
TDtWoWH was the first feature-length animated film produced in the Netherlands, hence it's somewhat significant ion the cartoon world.
I don't know the maker or the vintage of this pencil. A similar green-colored 'Draco' pencil was made by Cavalier Pencil Co. some decades ago, but I am unsure if this pencil is related (sometimes pencils do not bear makers marks).
The first movie of a country is often significant, if only for that country itself. But seldom good, because one's first efforts shouldn't be one's best.
This isn't Dexter... or is it? The first movie of a country is often significant, if only for that
Pretty impressive production values. Hate the music though. But it's a children's movie so it has to have songs and bright melodies that don't seem to fit the movie. (Just my opinion. American movies do it too.) It kind of has a "Pete's Dragon" feel to it, the OLD version not that horrible live action remake that fortunately seems to have been forgotten!
Did you draw this picture with this pencil, cause drawing a dragon with a "Draco" pencil would be cool. Also it's rated "HB" so it must be an artist pencil. Would love to know if there are others in this series of different lead variations.
