Thought to make an abstract image with some Wolff's 'Black Prince' pencils.

I bought a handful of these at a true bargain---the auction was somehow hidden, so I got the lot for its starting price. ^_^

I put three of the pencils in hand at once to make this drawing, running them over the paper together ...that counts as art, right?

HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "It's only art if some Saudi prince buys one of your ACOs for a million dollars after you die".

Well, here's hoping! ...wait. :P

<poking fun at Americans>
Good thing the pencil was made in England, and it's name reffers to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_the_Black_Prince, in States they would be forced to change brand name to "Afro-American Prince" :)

The abstracts, as a recipient of the art, I never really "got" those. Though that may be because I was holding them upside-down or sideways ;)

From a creator point of view I can totally get it - this "I want to do something, but I have no idea what" (at least in my case) feeling, which leads to many sheets of "doodled out" (is that even correct phrase? hmm...) paper, which - very arguably - can be called an abstract art piece.

I only skimmed the article, but...

"The origins of the name are uncertain, though many theories have been proposed, falling under two main themes, that it is derived from Edward's:

1. Black shield, and/or his black armour.
2. Brutal reputation, particularly towards the French in Aquitaine"

I don't think the name refers to his skin color ...that said, I do have some pencils that, uh... aren't woke! lol

In my case, I just didn't know what to do with these pencils, as they're too big for me to use in the manner in which I'm accustomed ...so I just did this. ^^

The next piece will probably be a comic.

It's already tiny, so make sure it's undamaged, and add a drop of vanilla. Then you'll have a compact, intact, abstract extract.

How about make your own paper/paper type material and make a pencil for it?

There's plenty of paper in the world for me to ruin. :3

I've done papercraft before, but I'm not particularly good at it.

You don't draw, Foxy, for to produce art, one must have a soul.

For some reason this piece reminds me of Arrow Dynamic's Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Cauldron.
