Al assured the family that if such an event were to take place, the small community of Duran, New Mexico where they live would not be a target. In that pic, Daddy Al is shown on the left, and oldest son Jed is on the right.

I remember seeing that ad during an episode of Quantum Leap. Sam leaped into the body of a swimming pool contractor in the middle of the Cold War. I also remember those ear-piercing air raid sirens sounding every day during my childhood. The elementary school I went to was near one of those sirens, and even they were just being tested, I'd be surprised if you could hear the fighter jets over the noise of those alarms.
