This is the furry version of the Captain Kangaroo Show as it appeared in the late 1950s and 1960.
In the Furry Universe, Mr. Green Jeans would probably be a lanky anthro-hound wearing overalls, a plaid shirt and a straw hat.

The show also featured other characters such as; Dancing Bear, Mr. Rabbit and Mr. Moose, as well as cartoons, musicals, stories and guest appearances.

The show ran from 1955 to 1984, making it the longest-running nationally broadcast children's (or
 cub's) television program of its day.

Below is a link to a video that shows the beginning of one of the earlier episodes;

I remember watching that show during my childhood in the 70's.  Pretty good entertainment.  Cute puppets in those musical numbers, and my favorite ones were the moose and the bunny.

I watched it in the 1960s, beginning in 1960 when I was age 6.

Mr. Moose was a rather charming character. He was cool.

I'm presently working on a PSA commercial that's a real classic. It will bring back childhood memories for some of the older grey muzzles who were around in the 1950s.

Oh I remember Romper Room.

Once in a while the kids would put their "Romper Stompers" on.

I remember the two honey bee characters; Mr. Do Bee the happy bee, and Mr. Don't Bee who was shown thumping his self on the noggin.
The woman hosting the show would tell the kids, "Don't be a don't bee. Be like Mr. Do Bee".

There were also; Mr. Rogers, Fliberty Jibbet, and also Kookla, Fran and Ollie.
