I've been ignoring this virus scare, but it seems others aren't as unconcerned as I am ...and that's MY problem! See, people frighten me more than this virus ever could---the human piranhas have bought up groceries and toiletries in obscene quantities, making life harder for Yours Truly.
Though I'm nearing my 40th orbit, I've never driven a car in my life, so if I want something, I have to walk to get it, and return only with that which will fit in my backpack. In some cases, I could take the bus, but as of the middle of January this year, the bus has ceased to run by my home, making matters slightly more difficult. Thankfully, my neighbor happened to call me this afternoon to ask if I wanted to ride with her to the store. I accepted her offer and, with the use of her vehicle, I was able to procure a vast supply of rations (of those things I was able to find anyway)---much more than I could carry home on foot!
So, here I sit, with a can of hard pineapple cider in one paw (to help me forget how much I spent) and a pencil in the other. Time to create!
My subjects today are from the main cast of 'The Wind and the Willows', specifically (from left to right): Ratty, Mole and Toad. I've depicted the aforementioned in the style of Rankin-Bass's 1987 animated adaptation of the book (which, incidentally, is truest to the book and is, IMHO, the best film version).
Anyway, it seems the trio are dealing with the effects of COVID-19, esp. as regards the scarcity of rations,
RATTY: "Not only is there not any pate de foie gras, there's no champagne!"
MOLE: "Not to mention we're out of toilet paper!"
TOAD: "But we've plenty of Corona!"
...All right, I should probably be shot for that, but whatever. :3
This reminds me of that joke I keep hearing lol. If you get sick, just have a corona with some lime and you'll be all right lol. I'm not scared of this virus either. I got a perfect immune system, I'm not old and I have no heart/breathing complications. And I do all the necessary steps and precautions. And I don't really even go anywhere either. So believe me, I'm not catching it lol.
But anyways, nice job man lol
