Character Description
Personality
cheerful and optimistic, dedicated to his work and a keeper of promises, he's no different to any other Duende. He's proud of his son and he loves dairy products and beer. Often lavishly paid for his work though having no need of money he likes to give his hard earned cash to needy families and if it gets stolen, send them a lump of coal of a woven blanket to keep them warm. With an unhealthy fixation on children he likes to steal their hair though he's completely harmless and would never harm a child. A particularly good rider of the dreaded rabbit pulled sleigh he's a fun loving Duende with abnormally good coordination and timing. Part of the group he loves to go hunting for work in the human world with his Duende buddies. A firm believer in equivalent exchange he punishes those who don't keep bargains and supports the worker's union. Particularly nasty if wronged but otherwise you couldn't imagine a nicer fellow, opinions on him are split, especially considering his past endeavors.
Background/History
Terry was born from a Duende family but he spent his early life being raised by a human family as his birth parents had switched the baby. After a few years his foster parents realized that he wasn't getting very tall and boiled some eggshells. It drove Terry mad and he snapped out of his disguise as a child causing his foster family to shoo him away. Losing his foster family he was distraught and spent some time in the human world before realizing he didn't belong and planning to travel to the fairy world. Having no magical scissors however he had no mean to do so and decided to do what Duende do best and help some needy people. When he turned up to help a farmer plow his field he knew needed doing he found some other Duende and joined in. He was accepted into the group and later traveled back to the fairy world and met his birth parents though they were alien to him. However the group of Duende he hung out with turned out to be perfect for him and soon he was just a face in the crowd.
Terry met a woman called Elsa while helping out who promised her child to Terry if he worked her farm for a year. After Terry did his part, Elsa became a nun so she would have no child and Terry would get nothing. However Terry used magic to make Elsa pregnant whilst still a virgin. Terry initially stole the child away but realizing he had made a half-human half-fairy took it back so that it could have a good upbringing. However Elsa succumbed to rapid aging as a byproduct of the virgin birth and Terry stayed by her side and worked the farm until she eventually passed away. Having to look after the baby on his own Terry brought Will up to be a fairy but after several years he couldn't keep it a secret any longer and told Will about his past. Will journeyed to the human world where he found the farm ran by his mother's sister Maerli and her husband Neoune who took Will in like their own child and raised him there for a few years. However Will still felt attached to the fairy world and would sneak out at twilight to live a double life there. Though there was a huge argument on both sides when they discovered what he was doing, it eventually settled and now both sides have come to accept this odd behavior treating it like a divorced family. Now grown, Will is the wise handyman of both worlds and Terry is proud to have a fine son.

World/Setting
set in a fictional world much like medieval Europe, there are various mythological creatures around including fairies and undead as well as humans. Humans tend to live with their own kind and only interfere with fairy kind when they want something. Fairies however tend to visit the human world uninvited though most don't cause any trouble unless provoked. Undead however are little troublemakers and disliked by both sides as they are a pest to everyone. In the land of Neoursheir, humans and fairies have lived quite happily alongside each other by keeping to their own kind, however the introduction of undead to the area has caused a stir, especially as they aren't interested in keeping out of other people's business.
