I see a few new watchers . . .

Hi! I'm GreenReaper. You may remember me from such websites as WikiFur, the furry encylopedia; and furry news magazine Flayrah. Now I've taken on a new role as Inkbunny's owner and lead administrator. This might be a surprise for some of you - and, perhaps, a concern.

For the last five years, @starling has poured his heart and soul into Inkbunny.
It stands here today as a demonstration of his vision and tenacity. Will it fail without his leadership?

Well, no! Starling will always be Inkbunny's founder, but all founders move on someday - and to his credit, the site won't just fall over. Our new server should permit us to triple our current size and traffic over the next two years. Key processes are documented in detail, and the rest of the staff are capable as ever.

Nor will you see a drastic U-turn in how Inkbunny runs. I joined the team back in 2010 because I believed in Starling's vision. We'll continue to support all creators of furry art, and their fans.

That said, the site will evolve, as it has in the past four years. We're tracking almost 500 suggestions for additions and improvements, so there's plenty to do.

As Starling mentioned, I have some experience developing software and leading community websites. This will be a challenge, and a learning process, but it's one I'm eager to take on.

Many of you depend on Inkbunny; in turn, we've relied on generous donations from over 250 fans to keep the disks spinning. With your continued support, the site will thrive for years to come.

Hi there! Yeah, it's best to keep focussed in tickets, but the people who answer them are just regular users as well.

on that matter i noticed something ish, my sketches that ahve a colored linework ish, do not suffere the quality defection xD

anyway, haha, good luck running the site and stuff! its been a wonderful one so far, save the drama that can happen, but thats anywhere ish XD

Thanks! I think we get a little less drama here than most sites, in part due to our age limit - it's not a panacea, but it helps. People can get a little angsty in their teens.

heh, i sadly cant say thats not true for myself, could be indeed, however there are many that sneak around your "barrier", you must know this, but luckily 90% of them seem mature enough mostly. xD

but yeah, mostly no drama, mostly i ignore it if it happenes though, thats the best thing to give to drama anyway i guess really XD, ignoring to it

I suspect that's because many places don't give users the ability not to see it.

True, that! I just am thankful that I have this outlet. It took me seeking a shrink to discuss "my garbage" with just to gain the confidence that I'm A-OK, and I need to speak up more :D

Either way, congrats, dude, you deserve the respect you are receiving :)

Inkbunny is almost the perfect website for me. There are occasional grumblings from weird purists about my content, but they're small enough in number for me to comfortably ignore, and in the meantime, it serves my purposes well. Keep it a place that I can submit (almost) all my art to, and I'll keep the submissions and donations coming. Pretty simple and equitable, I think. : )

, preferably with a minimum monthly journal about what's up, what's new, what hasn't blown up yet in the IB Experimenyal Labs yet, and other fun madness of that nature. :) IBers need to see that IB isn't stagnant, or is ignoring its users, and to keep communication alive, and, hopefully, positive. :D

Also, thank you for helping me ease into IB when I came here three years ago. :) I can honestly say, IB has helped me grow as a writer and triple my entire story-writing output over my lifetime. :)

The Inkbunny community has been friendly to me ever since I joined, and so has Starling. So when are you going to ban cub art, start spreading nasty rumors, and throw everyone out who questions you? =P Perhaps those who rage-quit will come back if some hostilities start up.

I think our staff is a little too laid-back for that kind of conflict.

The people who leave a site are often very visible, but what you don't usually see are those who come in at the same time.

I'm curious about something you said in your journal, about the change potentially being a concern.  Would that concern be about the types of art that can be uploaded here or something else?

When a new leader comes in, people often fear that they will bring a big broom and make sweeping changes. I was trying to put people's minds at ease. The type of art to be uploaded is unlikely to change - we will support legal furry art, as we understand the law.

To be honest I don't know why I wasn't watching you from the beginning when this site first started. I can't think of anyone better to continue things here, or more familiar with background server stuff than you.

Maybe it's because I don't say much and don't post much art! I generally only watch artists who I particularly like - otherwise I'd get overloaded with notices.

Thanks for your appreciation. I hope it is warranted! To be honest, there are those who are better at "server stuff" than I am. The trick is getting them interested in Inkbunny so I can delegate that part . . .
