Some who pay attention to the news may be aware that the UK Online Safety Act is coming into effect ( https://www.ofcom.org.uk/online-safety/illegal-and-harmful-content/guide-for-services/ ) in the c...
It's been years since the launch of Inkbunny's first Netherlands cache and backup server, phagos ( https://inkbunny.net/j/164831 ) - aided by a surplus from our donation drive. As is often the case,...
On Thursday, the UK votes for a new national government. There are several choices ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-39955886 ) , but only one of them seems to make sense to me. *Update:* I vo...
I'm also an admin, so if you have questions, ask away. If I don't know the answer, I know who to poke! Alternatively, you could file a support ticket, which might well be faster - I'm often busy tinkering.
Feature Idea, if you're willing to entertain. Is there a way you can put a sign that an account is blocked near their icon/name in comments, similar to how +watch recolors their name to orange? I have a bunch of avatarless people blocked and I normally associate avatars with who I have blocked (visual memory, not name memory). I already know you can tell when someone has blocked you (no reply button, understandable), but it would stop some misunderstandings I have, and prevent pissing people off when they cannot reply to me, I'm sure others have had this issue before too where they don't recall they blocked someone, reply a comment, then the commenter gets frustrated they cannot reply back due to being blocked. Maybe a small icon or bit of text under their name? What do you think?

Hello, hope you are well. I'm sorry to come at you directly but I'm not sure what else to do. I've been trying to donate for a year and a half now. I did get one response to my ticket after a year which boiled down to "are you still interested?" I said yes; it has been 5 months with no further response since then.
The amount is small but I'd really like to either do it or be told that it's not happening. This is the last thing I can think to do before giving up.

That looks like the same artist to me. I don't know portuguese that well but that legal document looks like an appeal, not a sentence. And that account hasn't really been posting continuously... but they did post a journal about having debt problems and losing their home; things a criminal defendant would worry about.
I don't think putting all of this on a mod's page is the most tactful way to bring awareness of a serious issue to the community. And if someone has served their time and is allowed back online, then there's no reason I can think of for IB to ban them. If they post something illegal or against the rules, report them. That person still has rights.

Remember that greenreaper is protecting a confirmed pedophile (launny) who went to prison for several thousand pictures and videos of actual child pornagrophy and any mention of it will get you deleted and banned.
Launny went to jail 3 years ago on distribution of child porn, having caught with several terabytes of it. Yes you heard me, he did only 2 and a half years before continuing to post on inkbunny and greenreaper has gone tooth and nail to hide this from everyone.
Looks like the UK Online Safety Act is coming into effect. Will there be a follow-up journal about IB's response to this, or does it not currently affect operations?

I hope that you don't have a data cache in Arizona because if you do you might have to move it. this bill just got passed in the state so you might have to block Arizona Internet traffic anyways you can get more info at the link below.
I know you can do better, and I know you want better. And these people honestly think you -HATE- trans people as much as they do... When you don't. You even said in the comments, you're glad to help them transition, you just don't want to call them by pronouns until they have. While I find this wrong, I don't think you're doing it out of hate like these people are, or they're expecting you to.
Be wary of who you surround yourself with. You may not associate yourself with their hate, but they certainly will associate you with it.
