I'm almost positive I've heard about this "Ahbur" from at least one of your works before. Was that a thing in A Bat Followed Me Home? It just really feels like it might have been from that particular story arc.
Also, I feel pretty bad for Eeple. Apparently, Eeple still persists in existing, though the former owner (Andrew Telly, someone that Eeple apparently really enjoyed the company of) is quite likely dead and gone, or at least far too old to really even take care of Eeple, and now has to put up with Josh. Eeple, in the end, just wants to delete those old memories, but apparently cannot.,
