Well, I was finally able to get some more work done on this. It was a bad idea to try and start this project a month before finals. But, now I have plenty of time!
So, overall, I'm pretty happy with how the uniform looks. I probably need to play with the color balance a little more, though. In my first render, the white in his jacket was glaringly bright. I'll adjust the belt once I get the rigging and posing done. I had to redo a lot of head because I forgot his eyebrows. I KNEW something was wrong with his forehead; it just took me a while to figure out what. The fur on his cheeks is better, but it still looks fake and unnatural. Speaking of fur, I was surprised at how easy the tail was to create, though I might need to make it bigger. His hands are pretty close to being done; they just need to be tweaked a bit and given fur (maybe, I might just fake the fur by making his hands solid gray).
That's about it for tonight. I plan on getting the rigging done this week. After that, I just need to set up the final scene and do any final tweaking. I will, hopefully, be done by Sunday, if everything goes smoothly.
