The first of my pieces on FA to attract significant attention, and still one of my most-viewed pieces there. Something seems to resonate with a lot of people about it.

I have a 45 part story in my gallery that takes place in New Mexico, Clarence Coyote and Project Courier, where 8 year old Clarence Coyote messes with a time travel machine he was told to stay away from. As a result of Clarence's disobedience, Clarence accidentally travels from his home day and time of 2018 back to the year 1960 and is stranded there for six months due to the machine being damaged. While in 1960, a coyote family adopts Clarence while scientists back-engineer and repair the time machine with 1960 technology so Clarence can get back to his home day and time. Clarence's adoptive family in 1960 enrolls him in school where his adoptive siblings, Jed, Rex and Donna, attend. In the school in 1960 there are three pit bull teenagers, Biff, Richie and Gaston, who are high school bullies. In addition to being high school bullies, the pit bull teenagers with their girl friends, Sandra, Roxanne and Avia, also cause trouble like stealing, vandalism, paying adults to by whiskey for them, car racing on public roads, and beating up smaller students for their lunch money.
Biff, Richie and Gaston even got caught pulling the fire alarm at school and done juvenile jail time for it. Earlier in 1957, Richie had even done a few months in reform school for getting caught slinging a chain up at overhead power lines. Police officers, a German shepherd and a wolf, had to chase Richie through several neighbors' yards and hop a few fences to catch him.
I now have postludes to that story where the pit bull bullies finally met their demise of their own doing on the night before Christmas Eve of 1960. It was four months after Clarence Coyote left 1960 to return back to his home day and time. Biff and Richie's parents had a 2nd car, a 1959 Cadillac, they always let their sons use. On the night before Christmas Eve of 1960, Biff Pitbull challenged another teenager, Danny Otter, to a 46 mile highway race with a $100 bet riding on it. During the race that night, Richie and Gaston were riding with Biff. In Danny's 1958 high performance Studebaker Goldenhawk his girl friend, Lidia, and a teenage beaver couple were riding with Danny. Somewhere on Highway 54 between Pastura and Vaughn, Biff swerved in the way of Danny Otter to stop him from passing by at 140 mph, which caused Danny to have to punch the brakes and swerve to avoid rear ending the Cadillac. Biff Pitbull's actions behind the wheel caused him to loose control of Daddy's 1959 Cadillac, resulted in the Cadillac flipping over and wrapping around a power line pole sideways at 124 mph, and breaking the pole and live power lines down onto the highway. From that fateful night on, the those students who couldn't fight back no longer had to worry about being bullied by Biff, Richie and Gaston ever again.
The picture linked below shows the pit bull bullies and their girl friends.
The short story linked below describes the condition the Cadillac was in following the crash.
The first postlude following the story is in 2018. Those who were around in 1960 recall the wreck from 58 years ago, which begins after pages 11 and 12.
