Nice job on the rain! It does need some "contact" with surfaces, like the clothes slowly turning wet. Still, not bad at all! Also, good to see Chucky got a drip of relief/hapiness at this point. Kids his age would get a total breakdown. He seems quite stong, though.

As for Merry, she either flunked, got kicked out because she cheated, or she's pregnant by someone else. Or maybe all of the above. Hope she does ok cause she's a cute mouse and I have a soft spot for mice.

The bright color on the left side of the fifth panel makes it look almost as if something is on fire or exploded, and Chucky is just running right into it~
Then again he has gotten himself headlong into trouble like that before.
The rain isn't overbearing and crowding out everything else, so it works well enough. I wonder what's got Merry so down though?

Thanks, I was worried the rain might be too distracting. I see what you mean on the 5th panel, it's a blurred bush with fall colors from the image I used in the background.

I can certainly agree with that. But I bet other languages have similar terms that are equally strange and would be very hard to explain to someone not native to that language.
