Yikes. I can sympathize with that. I went through three different colleges trying to find something that worked. Part of the problem was no one had thought to teach me how to study. I could read the books but I didn't know how to keep it organized. It's like they gave me bricks to build a wall but never gave the mortar to keep it up.

Yeah, I didn't really find a good job till I gave up on college. I drifted for a while then found out there was a huge demand for A class truck drivers. I found a company that would pay for my tuition fees so I could get my class A CDL then guarantee me at least a year of work as I pay them back. I'm with a different company now but I am earning good money since I live in my truck and have few expenses.

It is legal in their society, especially with a special case like operating an aircraft. Merry chose a field that requires both mental and physical mastery. If it's obvious that a student can't handle it, the university has to let them go or make them change majors rather than just take their money and watch them fail. She'll get a refund on her unused tuition.
