A Lapdragon Christmas

Ouros gave me an idea, and made me laugh. In exchange for this invaluable service, he got a free cameo in last winter's Lapdragon drawings. :D  I figured I'd upload it here where it can be added to the Christmas pool.

One of our Reindeer teams was a husband-and-wife pair, typically hitched to the same sleigh.  On one of the warmer evenings of the winter, when our dragons found their sweaters optional, (though the un-augmented would be bundled up three layers thick) Ouros is lounging by his sleigh as the other dragons kit up for the night's work, waiting for someone to help him with his harness.  Suddenly, the steady jingling behind him stops for a moment, and with a cacophony of bells, something heavy lies atop him.  Or, rather, someone; Soul has come to tell him that it's about their turn to have their handlers help them into their harnesses (though they both put their bells and snowboots on some time ago, back in their stall.)

Is tonight the night someone will scan their RFID implants and decide to take them home?  These two came together as a couple and plan on staying as long as they can; they'll be leaving - together - as lapdragons in the care of someone looking for pets only once the snow melts.  I'm sure they'll enjoy the change of pace, letting someone else deal with all of the day-to-day decisions.

(And yes, we had to be careful to place our brand around his tattoo, and not walk all over his ink!)
