yep. it's our style to tweak these cartoon worlds so they have slightly more realistic settings. it's impossible to do a serious plot in a fully cartoony world. it just turns out to be cheap feels if you try. ...or maybe there's some brilliant way i don't know about. :P

basically because the fanfic that got me into writing fanfics in the first place was a banjo-kazooie story and had a really christian moral at the end. the plot of this comic is totally original and by me... but i also did get the original author's permission to rewrite&revise his fic at some point. :3 the original fic was called Bree Free, and it's on fanfiction.net, i believe. i think the guy wrote it when he was like 10? so it's not very well written, but the plot had huge potential. it really inspired me when i was younger. i've been trying to get the time to write it for... probably years now, but i want to do a REALLY good job on it since it's important to me, so it takes me about 40 hours to write a page, what with editing and everything. (for comparison, it takes me under an hour per page to write fics normally.) the prologue is up on my FA if you or anyone cares, titled the same as the original fic. but i just haven't been able to really continue it since then. i have sooooooooo much work to do all the time ~.~

thanks! ^^ but, actually, we're not sure anyone's gonna donate anything for the clean pages. it might not even get to the sex. it might not even get to the next page... i've really gotta work on our site so that we can do multiple projects at once and people can have a choice of which to donate to

I dunno, ive seen people go gaga over a clean comic and kept it up via donate before, like on FA there was a chika who did one about a moose and a yak, nothing durty or sexy bout it, it was just a slice of life run off donations, given she didnt update but like once a week, but she also had time to do commissions and such between the pages, and it helped her art/popularity improve :3

Why kit? Or more like ... why ONLY kit? Why does he have to do the commissions alone? From what I understand/know, he hates doing commissions for one reason or another. But what if he doesn't have to do them alone? I know he often mentions, that he does not know how to draw/stage a certain situation or lacks the motivation/inspiration to do certain drawings/situations. And then we see this shippo picture in which the very first line in the description he says that you inspired him to do it (as you have done with quite a few other drawings of his from what i know/remember). True, here you mention that the BK comic is taking you like 40 hours per page to make it perfect. But in that same comment, you also mention that it takes you less then an hour for most other fics. Thus possibly, might be a feasible idea. I am also sure this cute puppy, wouldn't mind(and probably even like) helping as well. Like he already is in this very comic, from what I gather.:) And I am sure you can figure a way to do it that would satisfy all parties ... and help/inspire kit to try commissions again. As well as figure what kind of things you can take as commissions, which would make you happy while doing it.
Collaborative commissions aren't something I see often. In fact I'm not sure I have ever seen one before. (like purely advertised as such and all that, not just a random "one off" thing) This might not be usually practiced, but hey! You two have already done, quite a few things that aren't usually practiced anyways. So why not try something like this. Or tweak it in such a way that it fits you guys(and girl xD)!!!
