that was actually gonna be a plot point at first, that this town had a private fire brigade and that the breegulls weren't signed up, so the firefighters didn't make an effort. ...because this is kiiiiiiinda 1900s america kiiiiiiind of... but, at the last minute, i realized that would paint the townspeople as more just evil than morally ambiguous. like, it would make people just hate them instead of saying, "well, i guess they've kinda got a reason. ...if they believe in their faith so blindly, and all... they're at least not trying to suck huge donkey dick. they're just afraid." so that's how i thought about it :P but i think ...maybe... i've finally managed to create a pretty sympathetic character in the form of bishop dernan, at least = )

The sad part about that is that happens in this day and age where I've seen fire fighters stand around outside a burning house because the home owner didn't pay the town for fire service. The Fire fighters where there to make sure it didn't spread to the people's houses that DID pay for the service. Now that's just cold.

this isn't canon, no :P there's nothing -in- canon about how banjo and kazooie meet, actually. but i know a lot about banjo-kazooie games and have played them all, including the first ones when i was really little, so... i hope i can stick very true to the feelings behind them
edit: guess i should qualify that to say that the only thing in canon about how they first meet is that it's on breegull beach and that kazooie has the backpack and her kazoo at that point.

How come none of you are donating? This comic is looking great so far and its only had two pages! I'll try my best to get some spare cash for this, but for now all I can do is hope the rest of you give this comic a chance. Kit, Twi, and Oddball; I wish you guys the best of luck on this project.

thanks for saying so ^^ yep, we're waiting on donations to work on the next page. we've actually had several people say they were going to donate as soon as they got enough money, but... we've still got nothing towards the next page as of now. i think maybe it's more an issue of people not having the money to give rather than not wanting to give?
edit: should probably say we've got both page 3 and page 4 drafted and ready to be worked on. the story is also now fully laid out through the end, so... i dunno! we'll see what happens with funding! we're working on side projects, though, while we wait, so the time isn't exactly a waste. it's just frustrating.
