Just a doodle dump of Parry Popple. I wasn't trying to draw on model, or even draw well (hell, I know better--I'd just frustrate myself if I did), I just wanted to move graphite over paper while thinking about popples.
I want to do more with my popple characters, but I need to improve my drawing of them. These sketches of Parry were drawn WITHOUT guidelines---they're totally organic (like this, only without awkwardly handling a phone with one hand while attempting to draw lol): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YL58YV2Pv-Y
Pencil...
The featured pencil reads "Thrills & Chills at the Library".
According to Google AI,
"'Thrills & Chills at the Library' most commonly refers to recurring mystery, thriller, and horror-themed adult or teen book clubs and seasonal Halloween programs hosted by public libraries across various regions"
Cool (and Halloween-themed!). Anyway, I chose this pencil because the first episode of Popples is commonly thought to be 'Panic at the Library'.
...Hey, the choice made sense when I chose it. That said, I have a 'real' Popples pencil (two now, actually), but I want to upload it with something good (or, at least 'better', ie., something more deliberate).
LOVE these little sketch pages! Also gotta say you have a VERY confident line when using pen, no hesitation or second though when you draw, that's impressive! Even more so because it's a Sharpie! :D
And I miss the days when Libraries had book clubs and special reading events. Don't know if I'd want them now with the quality of stories these days. :/
