Perhaps the best line art I made this year. It's mostly just key panels of Gene and Mimi.

This comic will NEVER be finished (so don't ask).

Pencil...

Common 'Ravenwood' pencil from Reliance Pencil Co (known for using too much lead in their paint). This pencil is an older specimen with good lettering. :3

Had I finished this comic, I was going to feature a WWII 'Lime Soda' pencil, but ...the comic isn't finished and said pencil is deep in a storage locker where I cannot get to it.

Did you have a plan for the storyline of the comic, at least?

Yes

I'd love to hear it, if you're willing to share <3

Basically just expanding on Mubba lore. I didn't write any of it down and I've had too much reality going on to hold onto the memory.

That's understandable, I'm just glad to see some more cute art from you <3

...Aaaaaand I'm just realizing this ISN'T part of the Robot story (see I can't even focus on what's happening NOW lol).

Ok, this did have a plot that I remember. :3

Gene and Mimi are walking through the woods. Ahead of them they spy a can of Diet Sundrop on the trail.

GENE: "It can sense fear, Mimi--just back away slowly..."

"RUN!"

A popple in a tree sees them and asks what they're running from. The kids explain and the popple says he'll deal with the Sundrop, and says it was good of the kids to tell him.

I was going to feature a PSA pencil with this, but Idon't have access to it, presently.

Are you referring to the paint they used to coat the wood
of their pencils? Cause if so that brings up an interesting
situation I don't think many people either knew about OR talked about :

Lead poisonings from chewing pencils!

And as always a very cute weird little cartoon that
I wish you had time to finish cause you're one of
the few artists / writers who included Popples in your
world. :)

Yup; of that I was referring. :3

Wow!
I'm gonna have to research that now cause I'm seriously
curious if it ever WAS discussed at all!

Hard to verify, but Gemini found this:

Context on the 1972 Case & Pencil Paint Regulations

Lack of Digitized Court Records: Historical court filings and consumer safety complaints involving smaller manufacturers like Reliance Pen and Pencil Corp. (Lewisburg, TN) and Venus Esterbrook from the early 1970s are not digitized or publicly searchable in open-access legal databases.

Regulatory Shift (1971–1973): Around 1971–1972, the U.S. government (via the FDA and the newly created Consumer Product Safety Commission in 1972) began cracking down on lead pigments in paint, particularly yellow, orange, and red paints commonly used on pencil exteriors.

Pencil Makers Association (PMA) Certification: In response to these lawsuits and regulatory threats in the early 1970s, major U.S. pencil manufacturers phased out lead-based paint coatings and introduced non-toxic certifications (such as the PMA seal) by 1973.
