For it's 20th year, I've started a project to illustrate every (major) chapter in the GeneX series! (sfw only)
Appropriately, we made it to GeneX Generations! I'll go over each pic chapter by chapter and briefly explain them. Or you could read the fanfic. I've got pools for the stories, and bigger stories have been collected into arcs as well, like this arc here: https://inkbunny.net/s/2863115
Ch. 1 (3 related images) - Time Eater drew a lot more characters into White Space in this version of the story. Copter & Dimentime avoided having their color drained, and meet up for the first time at Marble Zone. Dimentime is younger, this being him before his appearance in Soleanna Struggle.
Ch. 2 - Copter explores Chemical Plant. He finds Razor the porcupine along the way, and they have to put their differences aside to combat Classic Eggman (Robotnik).
Ch. 3 - Amy & Classic Amy meet up. They adventured with Copter in Collision Chaos Zone from Sonic CD, but I wasn't about to try to generate that, so we have them together in White Space instead.
Ch. 4 - Bucky appears here in White Space with a "Flicky" (Ai won't do a proper Flicky). Copter & Dimentime rescued them from Panic Puppet Zone, a level from Sonic 3D Blast.
Ch. 5 - Classic Knuckles creates trouble for our heroes in IceCap Zone. Punchy gives him a fight. Ai won't really do the Classic versions of the characters, though. (unless I get lucky...)
Ch. 6 - This image was supposed to be Classic Tails defending Tommy the porcupine aboard the Death Egg. Close enough... Anyway, a certain EggRobo attacks our heroes as the Classic Era "boss fight." (Not pictured, obviously)
Ch. 7 - Mephiles shows himself in Lost World. He's still in the form of Bucky after Soleanna Struggle. He's been diving into other shadows to increase his power...
Ch. 8 - Copter, Guard and Dimentime battle atop the GUN Truck in City Escape. I couldn't generate that very well even without Dimentime included... Anyway, Col. Gunner was driving the GUN Truck, actually.
Ch. 9 (3 related images) - Team Copter explore Hang Castle, lured there by Mephiles. Team Copter consists of Copter, Punchy & Rainbow. They try team formations after watching Team Rose.
Ch. 10 - Shadow fights Mephiles within the Black Comet. Mephiles had been trying to influence Shadow from different time periods, but no matter what, Shadow won't team up with him.
Ch. 11 (two images) - Tails and Copter are forced to explore the Dream Temple after Dimentime is dragged inside by the Time Eater. They relive the events of GeneX - Tails the Fox, and eventually must fight the Dream King in the form of "Shadow Kosmogon."
Ch. 12 (two images) - A lot goes on in Chapter 12. At one point, Classic Sonic & Rouge fight Mephiles aboard a GUN Warship. Dimentime, Knuckles, Amy (and some others) follow Modern Sonic into the Perfect Chaos battle, where they find themselves in a desperate situation... Ultimately, Eggman's plot to gain control of Perfect Chaos fails.
The second arc's images will hopefully come soon. (There's only 2 arcs for this story.) Feel free to read up on the story in the meantime!
The next set will be the end. Cancelled by the WEF & the One World Government. (I didn't have any more prepared anyway cuz I knew where things were going...)
