I'm late for mother's day, aren't I? Well, meet Rainbow's mother who I randomly decided to generate and give a name for the first time!
She only appears in Violet's backstory, where she dies. (Along with her husband.) Despite the minor role, I had made sprites for the parents of Violet & Rainbow, intending to depict their backstory in the RPG Maker adaptation of Knuckles the Echidna...which was never finished.
Citrus' design was clearly based on Tikal (my favorite Sonic gal). If I were designing her for the first time today, she'd probably have Rainbow's colored quills, but I designed her for the game so she looks like Tikal. I guess I didn't want to put too much effort into single-use sprites.
Anyway, I'll post her husband sometime next month. Happy Mother's Day, I guess ^^'
