Amaranth is a Ninetales whose life became legend long before it was ever truly understood. Born into the Tye Family, she grew up surrounded by expectation, tradition, and quiet pressure to conform to a legacy that had little room for deviation. From an early age, it was clear she would not fit that mold. Where others were composed and disciplined, Amaranth was restless—drawn to emotion, expression, and the raw, unfiltered edges of life that her family preferred to smooth over.

Background/History

She searched for meaning and identity in places her family did not approve of—music, wandering, and self-expression that bordered on defiance.

Songwriting became her refuge. It was the one place she could translate everything she felt but couldn’t say. Her lyrics were intense, often melancholic, laced with longing and frustration. She dreamed of becoming a songstress—of taking those private emotions and sharing them with the world, of being heard not as a member of the Tye Family, but as herself. To Amaranth, they were the ones suffocating her, tightening expectations until there was no room left to breathe. The divide became irreparable.

Then, in the 1870s, Amaranth disappeared.

The story the Tye Family holds is simple: she is dead. A tragic end to a troubled life. But the truth is far more deliberate. Amaranth chose to vanish. Whether through careful planning or desperate instinct, she staged her own death and severed herself from everything that had defined her. It was the only way she could reclaim control—by becoming someone the world believed no longer existed.

In the years since, Amaranth has lived in the shadows of her own myth. Free from her family, but also cut off from the identity she once struggled against. Her dream of becoming a songstress never came to fruition, but the music never left her. It lingers in quiet moments, in melodies she hums to herself, in words she still writes but never shares.

Amaranth is a ghost by choice, a story unfinished and deliberately hidden. She escaped the life that was chosen for her—but the question of who she becomes without it is one she continues to live with, long after the world stopped looking.
