New Jersey's only a short drive from where I live, so I figured I'd drive down to the Meadowlands during the Eagles' bye week and visit the stadium that houses the Jets and the Giants. Neither team has an official mascot, which is a shame, but considering my proclivity to turn into various NFL mascots over the past several years, I figured I'd be safe. So I donned a Jets uniform and ran out onto the field. But as soon as my cleats hit the turf, I felt a surge of power and growth! My cleats popped open, revealing large, metallic talons equipped with wheels in place of my puny human feet. My belly grew rounder and rounder as it shredded my jersey, having turned from whiteish skin to yellow and red metal! Two gigantic airplane wings brust from my back, equipped with four powerful engines, and I felt a strong breeze as they whirred to life. A long tail snaked behind me, destroying what remained of my pants. Finally, my face broke through my hard plastic helmet as it turned draconic, a cone forming in front of my face, and large ears and horns busting through the back of the flimsy headgear. And as I reveled in this newfound power, my environment began to change around me, from a dark, turf-filled stadium, to the now more suitable landscape of an airport, with a clean runway and clear, blue skies! I did not plan on flying today, but it looked like opportunity was knocking, and I was gonna take advantage of the situation!
