Character Sheet for Count Lucas Dealand Alfred
Nickname(s)
Count Lucas
Sex/Gender
male
Species
Red Fox(vulpes vulpes)
Age
499 years.
Character Description
Count Lucas has dominated legend and lore of northern Cascadia for the last 350 years. His large castle is perched high on the mountain slopes above the north end of Lake Chelan. It's accessible by boat or by a very long treacherous wagon trail through the mountains. Few dare approach this region for fear of being hunted by Lucas or one of his many minions. And this is exactly how he likes it.

Lucas maintains his health and youthful body by feeding on the blood or semen of virgins. When it comes to blood, he does the standard vampire thing. Stalk, capture or restrain, then a bite to the neck and drink until he's satisfied. His prey rarely die, but their lives are changed forever after. The bite heals, but they physically become nocturnal. In this age of fear and superstition, the majority recall their encounter with horror and nightmares. This only feeds the legend and lore of the vampire in the mountains. Others move on, happy to have survived it and adapt to a night life. A small number, however, recall the event with curiosity and a certain erotic intimacy. These individuals occasionally seek reconnection with Count Lucas. And a few willingly make the journey to his castle to seek meaning, or even to experience it again. Most of Count Lucas's castle staff are these folks.

Side note: Gwendolyn, The White Witch allowed Lucas to bite and feed off her once, many centuries ago, to experience the sensation. This made her permanently nocturnal.

Semen is his favorite, of course. It also doesn't require biting someone and there are no lasting effects on his prey, other than a good time. In these encounters, he meets his prey directly. He romances them, woos them, makes them feel desired. Being gay in Cascadia in this time is a little tricky. It's not life threatening, but it's best kept on the downlow. Lucas's free spirited nature is very alluring to the young males he courts. Many of them also find their way to his castle as either staff, or part of his harem.

Aside from being a vampire, Lucas does have limited magical powers. His most powerful spell is to summon the East Wind of Elum, which allows him to fly. Other than that, he can perform some basic elemental tricks. Had he not become a vampire, he likely would have lived a normal lifespan as a powerful wizard.

Count Lucas has been part of the Pacific Northwest Council of Wizards and Witches for most of his life. He made friends with everyone immediately and always welcomes newcomers. He is liked for the most part, despite being overly dramatic sometimes.
Personality
Flamboyant and extroverted. Lucas seeks friendship, connections, and networking. He is also predatory, what vampire isn't? Anyone he meets is either friend of food. And even those he considers friends are potential food. He is driven by desire and hedonism. He loves life and his biggest fear is life becoming stale and meaningless.
Likes/Dislikes
Loves to party, loves to entertain and host at his castle. Anything sexual.

He doesn't like being bored or excluded.
Background/History
Lucas Deland Alfred was born to Sam and Sandy Alfred on December 29, 6050 in Chelan, Cascadia. His father was a teacher, his mother a spiritual healer. Lucas was raised with affection and encouragement. He was a bundle of energy, singing and dancing. He presented himself well and made friends quickly. He was curious and a little unfiltered, which got him into trouble. It became clear that he had some magical abilities when he started manipulating small bits of air and water. This did not sit well with the superstitious townsfolk. He was told to keep his tricks to himself, which clashed with his extroverted personality.

In late summer 6059, a hot wind blew out of the east. Many fires started, consuming crops, homes, and creatures who couldn't run fast enough. The blame was placed on little Lucas, and the town wanted retribution. An angry mob descended upon their home. "Run Lucas run, as fast as you can and don't stop!" his mother yelled. He did just that, and was spared witness to their deaths

He ran west into the forest on the north side of Lake Chelan. He knew few would pursue him. Fear of the vampire, Count Valerian, kept all but the bravest from journeying too far west. Lucas was more frightened of an angry mob than a vampire legend. But after two sleepless nights in the woods he was hungry and scared, so he started back toward town. "Don't go back, little one." a voice came from the darkness. Lucas spun around, scared out of his wits, but couldn't see anyone. "Who's there??" he asked tearfully. His pupils were fully dilated, but the moonlight contrasted with the shadows making it difficult to see. Then, two meters above him, he saw green eyes with two pointed ears above them. Count Valerian was just a few paces away. The giant wolf knelt down, "I am who you think I am, who might you be?"

"Lucas." the little fox sobbed. "I think my mom and dad are dead." Count Valerian closed his eyes and nodded, then opened his arms. "Come." Lucas dove into the big vampire's embrace and cried his sorrows. As Lucas calmed down, Valerian looked him in the eyes. "I will take you to my castle and give you a life deserving one of such young beauty, now look that way, toward the lake." Lucas turned around and felt Valerian's warm arms wrap around him. Then a gentle kiss on his neck, the kiss turned to pressure, then a little pop as fangs broke his skin. A gentle suction, like getting a hickey, and gradual soft warm sleep. Valerian only took enough blood so that Lucas would fall asleep. He wrapped the little fox in his cloak, and took to the sky using his magic powers of flight.

Young Lucas woke up toward the next evening. He felt weak, but serene and comfortable. A bandage around his neck and a slight itch where he was fed upon. He was in Count Valerian's castle. "Rise, young prince." a voice came from the room's dark shadows. "Become your new self."

Two more feedings over the next few months, and Lucas became a vampire. Over the next few years, Count Valerian honed Lucas's magical powers of flight. The two became lovers, a vampire duo. The old mystical vampire wolf and his forever adolescent male fox lover became a thing of lore. A hideous example of the world's moral decline to many, a romantic story of alternative love to others. Lucas lived his vampire life as a young teen for a time. He let himself age over the decades and fed on virgins when he felt like living a certain age for a while. It was a life of love, pleasure, and delicious sin that lasted 120 years.

In winter of 6179, Valerian romanced a loopy female mouse. In a lapse of caution, the taste of rabies slid down his throat as he fed upon her. Despite forcing himself to vomit, the deadly virus had entered his body. Tears welled up in his and Lucas's eyes. The last time they kissed or made love, would be the last time ever. Valerian ended his life using poison and requested his body be burned, sparing himself and his loved ones the ghoulish death brought by rabies.
Relatives/Family
Lucas's only known family were his parents, Sam and Sandy Alfred. They were burned at the stake for heresy in late summer 6059 when he was only eight years old.
World/Setting
Set on planet Earth 50,000 years in the future. Current year is 6549(Year Zero was when time measurements switched from seasons to years.) At this time, parts of the world are experiencing an industrial revolution and cultural renaissance, others are still in the Middle Ages. Improvements in medicine and education have resulted in reduced death rates, but increased overpopulation problems due to lack of a sexual revolution.

Count Lucas lives in Cascadia, officially named December 25, 5680, but known as such for millennia prior. Geographically it borders the Pacific Ocean to the west, California to the south, Moratello to the east, and Sitka Region to the north. We know this area as Oregon, Washington, and the approximate southern half of British Columbia.  Dual capitals are Portland and Seattle, each run by opposing factions of otters and beavers. Official language is a mix of Old Intermountain and World Anthro. Industries are timber, minerals, fish, produce, and weapons. Standard of living varies. Residents of small towns live a Middle Ages version of middle class, but large cities are overcrowded and poverty is common.

Count Lucas lives in a castle high above Lake Chelan toward the lake's north end. If you were standing in the location of Stehekin, WA, you'd see his castle 2000 feet up the mountainside to your east. The fortress has existed for over 1000 years, formerly belonging to Count Valerian. It has year round water sources from the glaciers on the peaks above. Lake Chelan and the Stehekin River provide a year round source of fish. Farms and orchards provide seasonal fruits, vegetables, and some grains. The small village of Rainhaven sits at the mouth of the Stehekin River. The residents are friendly or indifferent toward the presence of Count Lucas. His castle being their primary source of income, this little symbiotic relationship makes the area self sufficient and independent of the Cascadian Government.

Cascadia is, in fact, two countries. A rivalry between North American River Otters and North American Beavers has been in play here for nearly 2000 years. Tribal for the most part, occasionally escalating to gangland style violence. But in the last few centuries, as the world started to shrink and money and political power came more into play, the two species began usurping positions in high places. Otters gradually took regions north of the Columbia River, Beavers taking the southern areas, hence the two capitals. Each group now has its own military and large conflicts happen every few months. International commerce has become difficult and confusing from lack of knowing what part of the Cascadian government one is working with. This has led to poverty and unemployment, thus unrest in many areas.

In the time of Chucky and the White Witch, Cascadia is a powder-keg waiting to blow. Two species that want to either rule over the other or wipe the other out. Some want separate countries, others want to keep Cascadia united with one species dominant. Desires vary even more among everyone else. Some loyal to otters, some loyal to beavers, some loyal to none. Many furs and religious organizations have benefited greatly from the divisions, especially financially and politically.

From an international point of view, Cascadia is on the verge of becoming a failed state,
with diplomatic and trade relations nearly impossible
Body
Lean and muscular attractive red fox with standard fur pattern. He dyes his headfur in various bright colors, depending on what dyes are available. At 5 feet 6 inches tall, he is standard to slightly tall for an anthropomorphic red fox. Walks light on his feet as he is in excellent shape and health.

Not imposing unless he engages with you. Then you'll see the vampire fangs and intense nocturnal eyes sizing you up.
Clothing
Dresses in style like a vampire, always. Black and white tuxedo with a red bowtie. His outer jacket has a red interior and high collar. Black cape with a red underside. Extending from the arms of his jacket is webbing that can expand into wings for flight.

Sleeps nude. On the off chance you catch him looking casual, he'll be wearing a tank top with the standard boxer type undergarments common in this era.
Accessories
Seven jewels in each ear. Wears a metal device with telescoping tubes that make his wings rigid for flight assistance.

Gabby
Tabitha
The flamboyant vampire fox who's iconic castle dominates the view on the north end of Lake Chelan. He's not as infamous as our Count Dracula, known the world over. But if you're a resident of Cascadia, especially in the north, the legend and lore surrounding him varies from intense fear to driving curiosity. Few outside of the magical community have met him in person, of those who have, fewer survived the encounter. For those within the magical community, he is known for his iconic decadent parties and vibrant personality.

what an impressive biop and not at all the amount of information I could have dared to hope for this was deeply illuminateing...

Also the fact that a vampire can contract and die from rabies Suggests in your world vamperism is not a state of undeath but more a, alternative state of life that simply has no inharent experation date.

not the first time of seen that concept explored (im a big vamp fan) but its not explored often I rather think it fits very well here.

Thanks! This took a little more time than I had intended to spend on it, but I'm happy with how is bio turned out. Yeah it's probably more information than needed, but I can't do these without being detailed.

I do like the idea of vampirism being a different state of life. And not immortal either, they'll also grow old and die if they don't feed on virgin fluids.

does tie into the myth of vampires prefering or even requireing virgins blood XD

reminds me a little of the crimson nobles of wild arms II a video game I rather enjoy...theres a loli vampire in it that joins your party rather late. shes alive, just immortal. There Born, vampires are Undead turned by dark magic.

another example of this is the Mystics of SAGA frontier another game they are a lot like "fey vampires" but when one of the RObots in your party scans ones he remarks they have an abnormal abundence of life energy. :3 when they turn somebody they "end" the mortals life but once they give there own blood there reborn as a Mystic... it plays very close to traditional vampireism after that however with the mystic being bound to the one who made them ect.

SO theres president! but its still a area that plays fast and lose so you can amke up your own rules... Lucas is a wonderful example of preserveing all the myth bits we love and expect without being shackeled to it ;3

So this is the reason Gwendolyn is nocturnal, and yet, she can go out in the day as she did here: https://inkbunny.net/s/1543722 (lower left panel).

Oh yeah,  she's gotta do what she's gotta do. It'll just throw her rhythms off a little, like if we stayed up late or pulled an all nighter.
