Ordinarily, a couple of poor farm girls would never have set foot in such an opulent palace as the McAllister home. Located in the heart of the county's most prestigious, and snobby, gated communities, it should have been forever off-limits to the two of them. However, Megan's mom knew Mr. McAllister from work and when the latter decided he and his family would spend the summer touring the Carribean, they struck a deal. The girls would look after the McAllister house and grounds, mowing the lawn, washing windows, and so forth, in exchange for being allowed to use the swimmingn pool. And so began one of the most memorable summers of their childhood. Maintaining the house was hard work. Mrs. McAllister left an exhaustive list of things for them to do each time they visited and just getting past the gates was a challenge in and of itself. But the house was a marvel, with every modern convenience 1990 had to offer, and the pool made every hour spend scrubbing or weeding entirely worth it.

Definitely seems quite the deal, I'd say. Even if there's a lot to do, I would've called a payoff like that worth it. Getting to use the pool and relax, and get away from the folks just for a little bit to spend time with a beautiful fox friend must've made you a super happy bun, Megan.
Would definitely steal two precious girls for a summer date one of these days... Sand and sea be calling, just like it did to the McAllisters.

Oh, definitely a good deal! Looking after a house is hard work, no doubt about it, but a private pool? One we get to share with ourselves and no one else? Bliss!

I adore the swimwear. Megan stole hers from Kat (and never mind the rift in space/time that caused!) while Grace's was designed by the artist based off a fairly vague description. But they look great, and have a lovely period feel, don't they? (Hah, and you and me both, regarding girls in swimwear and that delightful awakening.)
