To celebrate Blade's birthday, he and Blubby went to have some bubbly fun with a nearby pond together! After playing around underwater for a while, they worked together to make a water-filled bubble, rolling it onto the shore together. After that, they decided to just relax for a while, with Blubby laying on his back and Blade laying on the dragon's belly - with some careful positioning so the gallade wouldn't poke them with his spikes - occasionally being given air bubbles by them. Seems to me like a pretty good way to hang out with a friend!

After a while, with Blubby eventually not able to relax any more, they took things a step farther. Blade used his magic to remove the pain and danger of drowning, and the two allowed the water into them. Soon, they were both in a dizzy, half-awake state, breathing water like it was air, as Blade listened to his friend's relaxed heartbeat. Eventually, unable to stay awake, Blade fell into a waterlogged sleep, and Blubby smiled at him before following not long after. Of course, they'd both be perfectly fine when they woke up, and they'd pop the bubble to finally get the air they needed.
