I never knew you had to season those things before I got one

I made my ex-BF so so so mad because I washed his Cast Iron skillet with soap...

(soap destroys the seasoning, the layer of oil that gets into the pan and "makes stuff taste good.")

Wish I could make grilled cheese, chemo sucks it gave me like mouth sores, it's kind of like when you burn your tongue. It's that feeling but everywhere in your mouth. So toasted things hurts like hell when I go to eat it.  Enough about me these are cute as hell keep them coming they brighten my days.

LOL.  You've got my sympathies Mr. Pickleman.  As much as I hate to admit it, I've done that once or twice.  The first time I did it, my mom asked if the griddle was hot.  Giving her a semi-dirty look, I said, "No ma'am.  It just doesn't take me long to adjust a griddle."  And my father, who was mustering all the sympathy in his body, laughed his a$$ off.

I use cast iron too. You do it all the time. With sauce pans,  however, you learn to give the handle a quick, soft tap with a finger or the flat of your hand to see if it's gotten too hot to handle yet. But the "just grab handle" instinct never fully goes away.

Oh my god, i feel that

I saved an omelette from a flip almost wrong and i was proud then i grasped the part that had been on a fire close to the pan itself and proceeded to immediately drop it anyway

Double sad ;w;

It's weird that the iron handle didn't have some insulator like plastic or wood, right?

The last illustration is very cute, with his little teeth of small fish-eating predator :3
