Oh, it's good. The guy draws back to punch Cora and, just as he's starting the punch, you see the butt of a rifle swing up and stop him. He looks back just in time to see Quigley calmly saying, "The lady doesn't want to get into your wagon." It's a pretty good scene if you get the chance to see it. I keyword and categorize each page when necessary, but I had warned people what kind of comic this would be in the beginning. I had said it was my only warning. When was the last time you picked up a comic book, or went to see a movie and beforehand there was a list of trigger warnings? There’s a rating, and then you as an adult make the conscious decision if you want to consume that media.

Right, and like those movies and series, i did a big ol warning journal “at the start,” before I even started uploading. If there is a page that displays violence or slight nudity, i mark it as mature. If a lot of violence and nudity, then explicit. But this is a page-by-page basis, and this page has shouting, and the word “bitch” with a clenched fist. Putting an “imoending_domestic_abuse” tag is too silly to me. If you’ve gotten this far in the story without realizing that domestic abuse is a part of the story, you haven’t been paying attention.
While domestic abuse comes in many forms, it is ultimately up to me to keyword my submissions as I deem appropriate, and I have been doing so. Otherwise, I have let users suggest keywords for all of my submissions in case I didn’t think of one or something, and I will approve or deny it. I will not, however, cater to everyone’s issues and triggers with a keyword list 60 words long to make sure no one gets upset. A future page MIGHT have the domestic abuse tag. This one does not.

The "Ol' Yeller" treatment did happen in 1974 with a couple we knew, Thelma and Ed. Ed had a very nasty violent temper, and would frequently beat up his wife, Thelma. Ed had on one occasion landed 3 young adult guys in the hospital at once. Each year, Ed and Thelma had a Bar-B-Q cook out where they'd invite friends and family. During the cook out they had in 1974, Ed told Thelma, "Thelma, get me another beer". Thelma replied, "Ed, I'm busy cooking these burgers. Can you get it yourself?" Ed immediately sprang up off his lawn recliner and began beating up Thelma in the presents of everyone there. Thelma ran from Ed with Ed chasing her across the yard. Thelma ran into the house with Ed after her. Thelma then ran into the bedroom and locked the door. Ed told Thelma, "Open that God damn door or I'll kick it down". Thelma got their gun out of their night stand and loaded it. Ed then kicked the bedroom door down...One kick was all it took to lay the door on the floor. Thelma pointed the gun and said, "Ed. One more step and I'll shoot". Ed told her, "You won't shoot shit". Ed then lunged at Thelma. That's when Thelma shot Ed in the belly, meaning only to incapacitate him. However, the bullet ricocheted off Ed's belt buckle and straight into his heart. Ed stood there and told Thelma, "I'll be damn...You did shoot me, didn't you", then dropped dead.
At Thelma's trial, prosecutors were seeking a lengthy prison sentence for her. But after the jury saw the bruises on her arms where Ed beat her, and bruises on her legs where Ed kicked her, they ruled it self defense. The judge asked those who attended the cook out, "Of all you people there, you mean to tell me no one could have stepped in between them?" One of the attendees answered the judge, "Your Honor. I tried that last year, and he landed me in the hospital".

He can't feel anything, due to a brain disfunction. Most of the time, his face is neutral and stone cold He's completely unempathetic because he's unable to feel compassion, joy, anger, and so on.
There's only one thing that makes him feel good: making people suffer. That stone face vanishes and leaves room for a completely deranged maniac, someone you wouldn't want to meet in an alley. In fact, he's a hitman by profession, that loves to terrify his victims as much as possible before agonizingly making them perish.
On top of that, in the world he's from, he's intended to me an unbeatable menace.
Essentially, he's like a horror movie villain.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I still think he's kinda better than Tobias, and wish the two met in that bar.
Granted, he's NOT a good guy, not in the slightest (well, it's actually more complicated than that, but I'm not dwelling into that here), and if he was present in this scene he wouldn't care and just watch the show, but trying to get into a fight against him means signing a contract with him where YOU are the target.

Haha I can appreciate that. Yeah Tobias certainly is tough, but he ain’t the toughest. He’s just a big bully. There’s a reason he took out the big bouncer with a surprise weapon first. In a physical and fair fight, he may not have won, or at least not easily.

Despite the very dark nature of this comic, I should stop to say it is very well drawn—the action and blocking(am I saying that right? 😅) is easy to follow and visualize, and the angles chosen for each panel is also chosen and put together nicely.

I really appreciate that! I’m not super experienced with comics and paneling has always seemed to elude me, so it means a lot~ I know the subject matter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and certainly isn’t why most people follow me. But I had a story to tell about characters that I care a lot about, so I appreciate people indulging me while I tell that story. I wanted to try fleshing out my characters on “paper” and not just in my head so that people could fully appreciate them and not just see them as sex objects (which again, I know is what people want, and that’s ok too.)
