It's very early in the morning---what could the cubs be doing on the nature trail at this hour?
They've gone a fair distance already, but something's come up ...or has been up, but is only now being noticed.
What could it be? Will I keep writing this intro forever? It's possible (well, actually, it's not ...because mortality and character limitations).

TL;DR: my autism composed another comic. Enjoy!

[the moon appears orange in the sky (yes, I took this photo while out on my morning walk)]

GENE (pointing at sky): "That is so creepy!"

TASLI (freaking out): We're not safe here! Let's double-back to the bus stop!"

MIMI (uncertain): "What are you talking about? We'll miss the bus"

TASLI: "The moon, Mimi! Look at it!"

MIMI (confused): "What about it? It's still up because it's early---we left at dawn to take the nature trail to school, remember?"

GENE (assertively): "Mimi! The moon just turned orange. The moon shouldn't be orange!"

MIMI (annoyed): "So what if it's orange!? Your T-shirt s orange!"

TASLI (panicked): "Oh fudge! She's right!"

GENE (throwing off his shirt): "It's cursed! Get it off! Get it off!"

Well, then.

It's been established that the boys are afraid of certain phenomena in the sky, so it's no wonder an orange moon would have an effect on them.

Well... At least she won't object to Gene undressing in front of her. Last time when Gene shouted "Get it off" she was more than glad to help ;)

Also, Mimi looks very nice with rabbit feet!

Well, before you drew her in small shoes, or with shorter feet, so "suddenly: rabbit feet!" brought my attention :)

(although, now that I look closer at your older art it's probably because Mimi has a lot of knee-up depictions)

Ah.

Yeah, she'd occasionally wear shoes, but I decided she looked better barefoot. Moreover it helps distinguish her from her AotLK counterpart who always wears shoes (the two are not the same character).

The girls are the only characters who will infrequently change outfits. Mimi likes her sundresses, to be sure, but she will also wear shorts now and then. :3

Rabbits have unique feet (shape, size, length, etc.), so it adds a lot of definition to their character when you depict them barefoot. ^^

I really like the orange moon. Makes it more awesome to look at. I remember a long time ago I saw a harvest moon so red and so huge, I really thought at the time (I was little keep in mind) that it was just right there to touch. I think it was the size of a basketball if you held it in front of your face.

We need to have more moons like this... if even to make Tasli shake in his non-wearing shoes lol.

I knew it was Gene, but I meant and stand by my previous statement *cough* *cough*

It was unfortunate that the night we had the big orange full moon, the sky where I was had a big overcast. I mean, it's like the universe didn't want me to see itself in all its glory... damn, sometimes Mother Nature can be a fickle mistress lol.

Well, this comic was (I think) the first in which Tasli said 'fudge' ...so that's something for him (I'm struggling here!). ^^

There are some things, creatures and places man will never see. Think how much there is of the universe that goes unobserved! D: And that is a shame, for Nature often proves beauty can be objective. :3

This confuses me. Let’s double back to the bus stop but we’ll miss the bus?. Never seen an orange moon but what’s the big deal? I once saw a purple sky!

Tasli believes they'll be safer at the bus stop where there would presumably be other cubs (possibly grown-ups) as well not be (you know?) out in the wilderness. ^^
I.e., Tasli's not suggesting they ditch school to go hide, but to not remain alone in the woods under the scary moon! D:

Fortunately it's not a BLOOD moon cause that could be bad! (Or good I guess)

I think I still have a few Jumbo pencils around. I used to use them a lot for rough live drawings cause you
could get them nice and pointy for fine lines and crosshatching then use the edge for nice large areas. :D
