And I knew you'd have something to say. But guess what---my ears are deaf to it, because I don't care what you think: I come and go as I wish, for whatever reasons that please me to.
Anyway...
Seems one of the Pharisees is trying to annoy Jesus. Let's see what happens...
1. PHARISEE: "Teacher, is it all right to pay taxes to Caesar?"
2. JESUS: "Do you have a coin in your pocket?"
3. [coin]
4. JESUS: "Whose image do you see on this coin?"
PHARISEE: "This is the image of Caesar"
5. JESUS: "Give to Caesar that which is Caesar's, and give to God that which is God's"
6. [vexed]
7. PHARISEE: "What belongs to God? If I'm to give this coin to Caesar because it belongs to Caesar, what is it that belongs to God?"
8. JESUS: "Whose image is on you?"
This exchange came from two places. First, the original story from Mark 12:13-17 in the Bible, with (and) a slight addendum from (the late) Ravi Zacharias.
SCRIPTURE: "Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and [a]care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?” But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.” So they brought it. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And Jesus answered and said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at Him"
It's not often I draw Christian comics (so enjoy this one!). I'm glad I made this one because I do have a secret list of comic ideas I want get to. This comic knocks one from said list. Additionally, I'd mentioned I wanted to draw again from 'Ewe Know' ...a promise this comic fulfills, in the sense that Jesus appears here as a sheep drawn in the series's style (because 'Lamb of God' ...get it? and, no, I'm not going to Hell---God's grace is sufficient for this comic ...I think). ^^
Anyway...
I came down with COVID on the 28th of October, which should explain (in part) why I've been so quiet. I shared this knowledge with very, very few watchers as I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up that I could die. ^^ Anyway, I have survived (for now) and am mean as ever! D: ...I'm still not too interested in drawing, so I'm not making any promises regarding any future uploads. Suffice it to say this shouldn't be the last one (I was stupid enough to promise someone a cartoon---I knew better, I really did, but here we are).
So ...my COVID experience
I'd presumed I could drink my way through it ...I could not have been more wrong about that! Sleeping through it also wasn't an option. It was pure debilitation from beginning to end. I use 'end' very flippantly---I'm still sick, but I'm functional. I need to be: someone here has to do the work and gather (my mother also caught COVID ...and unlike me, she's totally vax'd). Tomorrow (November 8th) will be my day to rejoin the world---there's no choice to be made there. Even so, 'God's got it!', as my mother says. :3
Pencil...
The featured pencil is the 'Mirror' by Eagle. The 'Mirror' is fairly common. There is a wide-top variation, but I've been unable to procure one. I'm also unlikely ever to---my pencil collecting was inseparable from my willingness to make art long-term (I'm become very disinterested).
Not you too! (The disinterest in making art. I'm beginning to believe this is more than just a passing thing though NOT a conspiracy of any kind (YET!!).). Anyway I'm sorry you got the Wuhan Flu and also glad you and your mother are getting over it. Hopefully now that you HAVE had it you'll be better protected. It is nice to see you able to cartoon again and look forward to more in the future when you're up to it.
Di you have any pictures of this wide top Mirror Pencil? Is that like those ones with the wide flat eraser that you can take out?

Thanks for the info. The world of pencils is new and fascinating to me so I must ask a lot of questions. :)
So they actually at one time took into account that people / students put their pencils in the notebook spiral? That's very forward thinking! I'm impressed! :D
I understand completely. I hope it doesn't get to the point where you stop drawing and / or destroy all you've done. That would be sad. I also hope you don't get rid of your pencil collection 'cause that would just as bad. :/
Be carful with the vax. SO much is coming out now that really starts to cast bad light on the whole situation. If you do decide to get a vax make SURE you get all the info you can to make a good informed decision.

Knife, you'd be amazed at some of the fun and innovative uses and add-ons that were made for pencils back in the day. Eagle Pencil Co. made some of the most exciting and unique, which is why that brand is the most collectable.
The only one I've seen CLOSE to that is a pencil with a hammer on the end for cracking wallnuts! I WISH I had a picture of it cause it was a cool little item. :D

I'm very sorry that you got the VID. I've been lucky to not have gotten it yet (unless I have and I'm just asymptomatic). Glad you are back to your good 'ole self.
A good comic and life lesson if I should say so myself. I, too, sometimes try to do the same thing with my money, unfortunately, all of them appear to not be with us anymore.
I'm very sorry that you got the VID. I've been lucky to not have gotten it yet (unless I have and I'
Sorry to hear you had Covid. Glad to know you're recovering.
My mom got vaccinated and when she was tested and found she had it, she was more surprised because the symptoms in her case were so minor that she wouldn't have even guessed (she only got the test to get on a plane back, so she had to stay away an extra while longer)
Quite sadly though the mother of a friend of mine had it last year and she passed away from it. She was a very nice woman and a good friend to me too.
Sorry to hear you had Covid. Glad to know you're recovering. My mom got vaccinated and when she was
I think such is the only real value of the vaccine: it reduces symptoms. COVID will eventually become endemic---the kind of thing one hears about on occasion, but for now it's here to stay (alas!), so the vax may be necessary (I've denied it this whole while).
I'm sorry to hear that. :(
