EDIT: I had this uploaded about ...20 minutes? I deleted it because it was bothering me, but you know what---I don't feel like redrawing it, and no one's going to criticize it anyway (if you want to do better, then by all means do so).
Anyway...
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "Chippy, do not feel sad; it is all right. Many things cannot draw: rocks, trees, sticks, Spike..."
I like 'The Land Before Time', too.
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "Point is, your art sucks, but you're probably a good person"
Tha's the nicest thing you've ever said to me. :')
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "I mean it---your only real shortcoming is you're lazy. I mean, can't you even completely fill in the lines with color?"
Here it comes (I knew the nice wouldn't last)...
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "And what of this comic? Ok, I get it, the panels represent things cubs can do at a play place. That's cool, but this is COMIC ART---each panel should be funny or amusing in some way. Like, Maybe Tasli could've been pulled over for speeding by a snail cop (everyone goes too fast according to him!), or Gene's golf ball ended up in the ball pit (so he's swinging furiously at all of them) ...something funny like that. Oh! The pizza panel could have shown the four together, being silly with each other like they're having a party or---"
That's enough.
I'm only so creative, bruh. Besides, no one watches me for quality. It's not that I cannot draw those things, it's that I don't have the ambition to. I'm not trying to be published or sell character merch or whatever. I'm just an aspie uploading his scribbles and his pencil collection to servers I don't pay space to use.
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "This must be your brand or something"
Maybe.
Anyway, let's look at the boring, poorly-drawn pictures (hey, don't blame me---you clicked this!)...
Tasli in a go-kart. I had to freehand this----I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've drawn any type of car. Hitherto, the closest I've come has been drawing shopping carts. ^^ A star appears in the sky ...or maybe it's Jupiter (who can say)? What is certain is when coloring this, I reversed the colors of Tasli's clothes (I did green shirt-brown shorts instead of the correct way). I had to fix it, and it didn't end well. :p
Mubba plays an arcade machine ...and, yes, I put the joystick on the wrong side. I haven't played a game like this for the better part of twenty years, and didn't use a reference. :p It's been established that Mubba plays video games, and isn't too bad at them (so I at least got that part right).
Gene plays mini-golf. I've already shown the cubs playing this---I should have drawn Gene in a ball pit or climbing a 'rock wall'. Oh well. And next time I draw a straight object, I'll remember to use a ruler. :p
Mimi eats a pizza slice. I'm not good at imagining exaggerated faces like this. I (again) should have used a reference ...or consulted MasonMouse. :P
Pencil...
I rescued this 'Jeepers!' pencil from the scrap thrift ...and because InkBunny's AUP won't let me show the pencil by itself, I made scribbles to go with it (aren't I clever?). :3
That said, I don't know much about Jeepers!; I've never been to one, and I dunno who the characters on the pencil are. All I really know is Jeepers! is/was a place that offered pizza and a ball pit---the kinds of things cubs would find pleasure in. :3
Well, Jeepers! was a bit more interesting than that. Upon (some perfunctory) research, it seems Jeepers! was some kind of indoor amusement park for kids ...and when I say 'amusement park', I'm not exaggerating: they supposedly had everything, even a simple roller coaster (link tested 10/20/2022): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmXmiIpXJ0k
Concisely, Jeepers! was like a blend of Chuck E. Cheese and Six Flags---an example of a recreational zone that was popular in the 90s and the 2000s.
Though I was a 90s kid, I missed out on the play-place experience---the only such place I ever experienced was Celebration Station ...which was just fine as their building was HUGE and lacked nothing! :D But don't be too happy for me: I was 17 the first time I visited Celebration station---by that point I was already too jaded and disinterested to do much more than watch other people do stuff (I went with a group I couldn't get away from---long story).
That said, I did have an interest in play places during my preteen years. Of them all, I figured Discovery Zone to be the best of them, as I saw ads for it on TV (esp. on Nickelodeon) incessantly.
I was around 9 or 10 when Discovery Zone became a thing. I imagined the place as being the size of a mall---a labyrinth of mazes and balls wherein some kids go missing and never return! D: Reality was much different, however... in fact, it turns out this is what a Discovery Zone looked like: https://sta.sh/0pf4e3mj7dw
...If I didn't know better, I'd say that's a place where a mom would go to buy used baby clothes. :P
And...action! I love this. When I first saw it I thought they were getting everything in before winter sets in like me. But I see that is not the case and this is just a fun day together. I think you did a great job on your first go-cart, looks fun. Indy 500 inspired.

Hehe all of the poses & expressions (especially Mimi's) are well done! Certainly looks like they are all having fun, which is the good & important thing lol. Cute job!

Honestly this is just rekindling some of the most wholesome memories of childhood here! Like, authentically covering the kinds of kid places that we'd daydream about!
Oooh that's real cute! Honestly this is just rekindling some of the most wholesome memories of chil
I didn't comment on this? What the heck is wrong with me!! Love your little character personality sketches. Even without knowing them I would recognize them instantly. Well I would If I was ever in their universe and was better with names.
I'd LOVE to get a "Jeepers" pencil just so I could draw "Jeepers CREEPERS" https://flxt.tmsimg.com/assets/p20787046_p_v13_ae.jpg with it and say "Things went down hill with Jeepers when they acquired New Management!" :D But that's my weird twisted sense of humor so yeah. :D

This was one of those must-feature pencils, as I'd hoped it'd trigger someone's nostalgia. So far no luck (that I'm aware of), but I'm glad I presented it anyway.
Oh so horror! D: This was one of those must-feature pencils, as I'd hoped it'd trigger someone's no
