Depends where you are, some places have really bad police departments, and some places have police that are equipped as first responders for life threatening situations. I know where I live every cruiser is equipped with an AED, Narcan, and first aid equipment and we have laws in place that if someone were to be injured or overdosing the police can not question you if you call to get someone help.
